X-Men #25: Wolverine losing his adamantium to Magneto. bear with me... what started as Peter David making a joking suggestion at an editorial meeting turned into what was, honestly, a really, really good issue. From the quotes used to the sad finality of Xavier making the decision that Erik had to be stopped, to the way it showed that Jean and Logan loved each other on a deep level regardless of the marriage to Scott... it was a powerful issue, IMO.
Also: Whedon's run on Astonishing. Loved the characterizations.
Old Uncanny X-Men back in the outback. These were some cool stories. And the cummulation of Wolverine crucified by the Reavers? Awesome

Definitely agree about Joss Whedon's run on Astonishing X-Men being a great moment! All the characters were so wel developed in his run!
One of the worst moments of X-Men soap opera history, was when Mystique was trying to seduce Gambit by posing as a underage student name Foxx. Just to break up Rogue and Gambit, Because she felt Rogue was to good for him. I think that story arc gave me brain cancer......
This issue was literally pure awesome. Because in the 80s, two men getting drunk and fighting for no apparent reason on a Bro's night out and Wolverine actually teaching Colossus a goddamn lesson was a plot line.

Yeah, there were some moments during Astonishing X-Men that were very touching, and Kitty/Emma dialogue is one of them, with a few words Whedon described perfectly the relationship between them and the evolution of both the characters.

Yeah, and when Jean kissed Logan and made Scott feel constantly torn because of her hormones it was only a fleeting moment lol. Anyway, Scott has shown more courage and self-sacrifice than Wanda or Hope, and he's done more for his people than both of them, or even Wolverine or Captain America, they deserved that punch, not him.

I was in the bus one day and rememberd this storyline and how much it sucked, yet I agree it is a hot moment...someone should make a compedium of x-men hot moments in this forum...
