I dont know, I liked that story alot. Back when Cable was on the run with this baby/child he needed to protect. Plus I wouldnt have wanted to see Emma playing house. She aint that chick.

Hope is a good character. The problem is they have been using her wrong since she came back to the present. Her book was written poorly and AvX she was horribly OOC. I'm holding out hope that Cable and X-Force will be better.

Plus I wouldn't have wanted her to go off the rails like Cyclops has done by drinking his Kool Aid

They may have (scott and jean) but then again if they had wouldnt it have been the same story as when they raised Cable? Plus its not just Emma, Cyk sucks at raising kids (and family for that matter) lol. He didnt raise Rachel, barely raised Cable, never sees or associates with his brother, never talks about the death of his father, Cyk and family are like intelligence and DBZ, they dont mix.

Edit waver: I havent kept up with the X-Men really so for all I know Cyk may be the ultimate family guy now :)

I'm not a big fan of Hope, or Cable really, but I think their relationship is one of the most interesting things either of them have going for them.

Then again, if Cyclops and Emma had raised her, meaning she'd still be a toddler now (?), maybe Cyclops wouldn't have been so quick to want all of the students to be soldiers, and the Schism might never have happened..

Actually, it probably would've still happened; but if Hope was still a toddler, I bet the Phoenix wouldn't have returned, so AvsX wouldn't have happened anyway.. And, even though AvsX sucked, X-men comics have been much better since then, so..

i feel like emma would only ever love a child if it was actually hers ahahaha. she seems like one of those 'everyones kids suck except for my perfect ones'. I think she'd be a crazy good mum actually....just not to hope : p

I liked the parent-child relationship she had with Cable. However Wolverinesque, it was sweet.

To be honest, Cable messed her up in that she was raised in such a way to be unadaptable to regular life in the 616 universe. Cable, in general, is a bad influence on kids lol. He took the New Mutants and made them into his personal militia, and ended up doing the same with Hope.

Maybe she'd have a modicum of respect for those around her if she were raised by Cyclops/Emma.

It's so good that Hope was raised by Cable in a post-apocalyptic wasteland where they were hunted by an insane time-jumping psychopath who wanted to murder her.

Imagine if she was raised in a loving home with Scott and Emma? (Shudders).

But if that happened, then imagine Marvel having made a decent character in recent years? (shudder)

She would have been in a loving home by good guys but I can't see her ending up any better.I really think that she would have become a better character but still.
