Apocalypse should not be there. Magneto solo him. I'd put Prof X at 10 and everyone else inferior to Apocalypse advance one spot.

Why is Magneto there? I can think so several powerhouses who have more raw power. Colossonaut, Warlock, Magik, Vulcan, Hope, Darwin, etc...Iceman, Cable and Apoc are also debatable (they are up there for sure though)

@time: Charles, whilst a formidable telepath is inferior to the large majority of Telepaths from your list. Jean and Rachel are hardly surprising, X-Man already decimated him and even Cassandra proved that she could best him.

Uh... No? Magneto and Apocalypse have never faced one another in the 616 universe. Let's not confuse AoA with the Mainstream Reality.

616 Apoc is definitely superior to Magneto. That guy is a beast, tanked the combined powers of X-Factor and the Inhuman's whilst laughing.

Magneto is a team buster. Don't underestimate him. Moreover, Colossusnaut, Warlock, Magik, Hope, Darwin were not on Time's original list. Additionally, Vulcan is not more powerful than Magneto. Iceman is not debatable (Points to latest arc of Astonishing). Cable isn't either (Guy went head to head with the Silver Surfer) and Apocalypse is really not getting the credit he deserved.

Both Magneto and Apocalypse have become jobbers which is a shame... Hell, X-writers always downplay their villains, I'm not even talking about the X-men themselves.

Gotta love Iceman being in that list. He's literally the most chilled and restrained warrior out of all of them, yet he still is considered a major powerhouse... snowballs will always be his go to technique and that's why i love his character. Really wish that outside of Astonishing, Iceman will get his due in say, Jason Aaron's upcoming Amazing X-men ongoing, and maybe have an arc centred around him because within that team (the upcoming Amazing X-men team), it seems like he's the 'hulk' of the team or an important figure so to speak.

1. X-man. ( nate gray) before his depowerment nate was officially stated as being the most powerful mutant of his time. now he can barely lift a couple blocks with his mind but there's that

2. Phoenix (jean grey) as much as i find her repeated deaths annoying, you can't get much better then the original phoenix, jean grey.

3.Legion. lets face it if david haller got his insanse mind together and had full control over all the powers in his system, he could overload ANYBODY and could most easily be one of the most powerful mutants in existence, lets not forget in the recent x-men legacy line, he has a reality warper in there somewhere, again you can't get much better then that

4. franklin richards: he took down a damn celestial nuff said

5. apocalypse: he's taken down team after team after team and has always been a powerhouse. even though he hasn't been in a major story for awhile, it would be interesting how he compares to what he used to be now.

6.Onslaught: the combined powers of magneto, xavier, franklin richards AND nate gray....too bad he didn't last long.

7.Magneto. any mutant that has full control over an element hould be considered formidable and back before he was "broken" magneto was a tough contender.

8. Storm. she has control over the elements and although her status as an omega level has been debated, she's always been a powerhouse

9.Collousunaut: honestly, i thought it was interesting when peter got the gem. it changed his character, and just added more power to one of the x-men's strongest. it would have been interesting to see him at his absolute limits..put him up against a World war hulk era hulk and see what happens

10. Iceman. this recent arc in astonishing really shows what bobby can do. even though he's in his own emo world right now. i walways wondered what would happen when he reached his full potential..now we know

dang! forgot about mr. m. he was awesome! didn't last long though...hope's only power right now is mimicry, same as mimic, far from being a top contender i'd replace her with synch..the scope of kid omega's powers have always changed from writer to writer, Vulcan was an omega but he got taken down by havok. then again he did take on the entire imperial guard by himself...

Jesus, you haven't even given us criteria by which to judge power. Are you referring to destructive power? Who can do the most? Who can use their powers for the longest? Power isn't a matter of mere strength or potential, it's also a matter of skill. Are we taking skill into account here?

...and for the record Rachel isn't that powerful. For someone who's supposed to have the same amount of power as Jean Grey, it's utterly pathetic she was beaten in a psychic showdown by Emma Frost. And if by powerful you mean influential and whatnot then yes, Mr. Sinister belongs on that list, but otherwise putting him up there is ridiculous. Cable's powers aren't even consistent, how the hell do we know how powerful he actually is when we aren't shown reliably what he can do? There are many x-men characters that are more powerful than Magneto (hell, DAZZLER is more powerful than Magneto), Storm is powerful but not in the top 10, same goes for the Scarlet Witch.

This list just made me realize that mutants are the most powerful race and community in Marvel Universe just right after the Celestials

Nonsense, if he is at full force not many can stop him. But his powers never remain on the same level, from taking two nukes without a force-field to being injured by an arrow. What can I say, X-writers cannot handle powerhouses, that's why they tend to downplay them. And Magneto is the most notable victim of this bullsh*t (electromagnetic spectrum anybody?!)

@adamtrmm: Dazzler can transmute sound into a wide variety of light. She is also a young, healthy individual at the peak of her skills, while Magneto is old. At the very least they're equals.

4) Storm (She has some very scary power showings that earn her this spot)

5) Sienna Blaze (The raw power she had when she first debuted earns her this spot though she is able to be beaten by weaker characters since she's basically just a blaster and teleporter. She was probably weakened by writers as time went on, but the original presentation of the character definitely earns her this spot.)

6) Shadow King (He can keep growing more and more powerful by absorbing negative emotions from the world)

7&8) Legion and X-Man (Can't figure out the order)

9) Xavier

10) Apocalypse (According to his original showings in X-Factor, he became watered down after that)

If Rachel or Jean Grey have the PF, then they make the cut. Magneto is powerful, but doesn't have the power showings to compete with the guys on the list. I thought about putting Selene on the list, but opted to leave her off till she gets better power showings. X-Man would not have made the list except for his showings as Shaman X-Man. Other than that, it was nothing but rhetoric with Nate Grey's powers, but he was shown being much weaker than he was stated to be and always coming near death with power showings that would have placed him below a fully powered Exodus.

why put jean grey phoenix. if so why not put cyclops and anybody else who can become one with the phoenix, without it she is not that powerful.

Franklin is the most powerful mutant, but he is not an x-man but his adult self is far more powerful than any of them could ever wish to be, he resurrected galactus, we can alter reality to suits his needs, he can read minds, project energy, create matter, create universes, and a long etc. O yes and it was implied that he will become immortal at some point. In a few words he is (will be) a god.
