Plot Summary
Returning from the Savage Land, Storm, Xavier, and Cyclops are shot down in their Blackbird over Antarctica by the Upstart Siena Blaze, who has the power to manipulate the Earth's EM field. For the three injured X-Men, a struggle for survival begins while Siena is looking for them to finish them off. While looking for help, Xavier is saved by a mystery Samaritan and rejoins the two X-Men just as they are about to face off against Siena. They use the young woman’s last attack to propel them out of the disaster area, shortly after which they are luckily found by their teammates.

Returning from the Savage Land, Professor Xavier, Cyclops, and Storm are ambushed and left to die somewhere in the vast wastelands of Antarctica, it's a tossup as to what will kill the X-Men first: the savage elements or the even more savage mutant Sienna Blaze who seems to be playing a mysterious game of death. Together the suddenly vulnerable mutant trio must blend their abilities as never before in this fast-paced tale of survival.
Scott Lobell and Chris Bachelo present a first-rate tale that stressed the bonds between the three most recognized leaders of our favorite band of mutants. This issue certainly set the series off on the right foot
