    Schism #5 - No Punch. 5

Schism #5 is out, but the best of it were the few pages that Marvel let loose on the net a few weeks ago. They had drama and told us the story of how Schism should have been: intense and deep. The actual conclusion paled in comparision.WARNING:Full of Spoilers. The ArtVery good art. Everyone is depicted well, and I couldn't spot a single flaw (aside from Wolverine escaping from the sentinel's fist like it was a billboard). It was by far the best part of the book. The StoryForgive me if I am a bit ...

A mediocre disappointment. This should have been better! 0

The previous issue of "X-Men: Schism" finally got me on board this supposedly monumental X-Men event. The entire series was lacking the tension and believable conflict that could result in the splitting of the X-Men. But issue #4 sold it well and brought me in so I was really pumped for the final issue. But Jason Aaron's finale falls pretty flat and when mixed with Adam Kubert's distracting and poorly executed art, "Schism" turns out to be a series that never reaches it's potential. Heard that ...

Well, It's Over. Not Sure What Else to Say. 0

X-Men: Schism overcomes most of its faults enough to arrive at a decent end for what was also just a decent story event. It's an event that you finish and think to yourself how there were some good parts but overall it could have been a lot better than it was. This issue largely just goes through the motions of the finale. Due to Marvel's hype, we already know so much about the new status quo that there's very little new information to be found here. We generally already knew which characters tak...

The Perfect Ending to An Era 2

So, Schism....what a roller coaster, right? It started off well, then we had the Hellfire Kids and then they were able to really give it a good close. It's funny, because it has all the makings of the types of endings where Cyclops and Wolverine will kiss and makeup. Unfortunately, in this day of internet news, we knew that wasn't going to be the case. I think what I liked best about the issue is that it left things in a gray area. Neither Wolverine or Cyclops were completely right. And, I think...

At least it's over now 0

Here's to the end of what was basically an over-hyped cage match! It sucked! The Hellfire Club was never really dealt with in any definitive way, and we STILL don't know what made the brain slug fall off!So Wolverine takes off in a Blackbird with a bunch of kids (and Iceman, who doesn't count) and decides he's going to re-build Xavier's. Good luck with that. HOW is he going to get enough money to do that? Not to mention the question of what he's going to do with all those kids, since he apparent...

    Ready? Break! 0

WORTH IT! I have to tell you the truth, after the stupid prelude nonsense, I was really worried about this storyline. I thought it was going to end up being stupid and lost in the Fear Itself shuffle, but starting with issue #4 this series really kicked in...but WOW! The intense fight between these two brothers-in-arms was epic to say the very least. And to be quite frank with you, at this point who even cared about that stupid killer robot? In fact, I was annoyed we didn't see it get destroyed ...
