Plot Summary
The return of the Phoenix continues to wreak havoc upon the lives of the X-Men as they find it increasingly difficult to combat a cosmic force which loves them. Part 3 (of 5).
Jean knowing that the Phoenix is dangerous, battles Wolverine hoping Wolverine can weaken the Phoenix. Which he does successfully, then Jean dives into icy water in an attempt to kill the Phoenix. But that was unsuccessful as the Phoenix rises again and tries to feed off of Cyclops' energy beam.
