A Fun Beginning and Middle...Really Terrible End 6

The main problem with this movie is that (like X-men 3) it's nothing more then a large feast of cameos. Many of the characters in the movie serve little purpose in the movie, but are there simply because people wanted them there. The Film opens wonderfully, with flashbacks of Wolverine's childhood and how he first found out about his mutant powers and that his mom was cheating on his supposed father. It's a great way to start the film and also shows us the relationship between Logan and Victor C...

    Flawed but fun . 0

Wolverine was without a doubt the star of the first three X-Men movies. Many have said they could have been called "Wolverine and the X-Men", which ironically is the name of latest X-Men cartoon. Considering Wolverine's popularity from comic readers, it really came as no surprise that he was the most developed character of the franchise. Movie goers also became fans of the clawed Canadian with Hugh Jackman's practically perfect portrayal of the character. So it only makes sense to capitalize on ...

    What the **** is this *****?!?!?!?!??!!? 4

Seriously! They ruined it! Fox has officially produced something that can only be described in two words!  EEEEEEPPIIIIIIICCCCC FAAAAAAAIIIIIIIIIILLLLLLLLLLL!!!!!!!!!!  Lemme go through how they screwed up the characters (As I love to do in my reviews. Yeah, I got a style, deal with it.)  Wolverine - Hugh Jackman is back................. again. He's always looked mediocre for the part (Ex - he's TALL.) And he always does a decent performance. Once again, the problem with movie-logan is.... he's ...

    X-Men Origins: Wolverine 2

I liked this movie because it's about Wolverine, one of my favorite superheroes.   I've wanted to watch it for a long time, and I finally got the chance a couple of weeks ago.   It's a great movie!   Hugh Jackman is a very convincing Wolverine, and they did a good job with his claws.   The plot was exciting and memorable, and it really told the story pretty well.   The characters were interesting; I didn't think Ryan Reynolds would make a good Deadpool at first, but he did a great job, and altho...

    Horrific Ending 1

The Good  - Great performances from Hugh Jackman, Liev Schreiber, and Ryan Reynolds.  - Some really good action scenes - Really good beginning with Wolverine as a child.   The Bad  - What they did to Deadpool's character was horrible  - Some terrible CGI in some spots - Too many characters to create any character development, so it's basically just a cameo parade. - three words....memory erasing bullets (What a cop-out)  Recommendation - If you want a good action movie and nothing more, then ren...

    Wolverine 1

X-Men Origins: Wolverine is not a character study, nor a source material adaptation, it is a summer popcorn flick and maybe, in some regard, it should be.   If there are any comic characters that prompt that type of film, perhaps it is Wolverine.   The major failures in this film is that it never attempts to explore any direct personality traits and subplots that shape as a consequence of Logan’s abilities, and instead sticks to clichéd action scenes and formulaic pacing of segmen...

    Fox origins: Huge Jackman 2

The movie that takes the beloved comics, throws them in the toilet, and takes a huge ass dump. This is the first comicbook movie i've reveiwed that I hated and this is proof that Fox shouldn't have rights to X-Men. It stars Huge Jackman, Liev Schreiber, Huge Jackman, Danny Huston, and Huge Jackman, it also cameo's every character who isn't Huge Jackman, such as Ryan Reynolds, Lynn Collins, Taylor Kitsch, Will I Am, Patrick Stewart , and Baraka from Mortal Kombat.    If you have not watched it, l...

    Captain Bintang`s Night-In-With-A-DVD Movie Review 1

Yeah, I know this movie was released well over a year ago but, frankly I heard so much negative reaction that I kept putting off watching it. But, getting back late last night, I decided to give it a whirl. And.... ...I actually liked it! (well, someone had to) The Wolverine character has such a massive cult following that I suppose a movie depiction is going to annoy someone - or in this case, seemingly many people. But, I`m really not sure why, I mean it`s really not that bad, is it? True, may...

    X-Men Origins: Wolverine 0

I liked this movie since I'm such a big fan of Wolverine. Hugh Jackman played the character well just like the previous X-Men trilogy. This movie as the title suggests, tells the origin of how Logan became the best who he is. The acting wise was nice and action scenes were good. Here are several downsides. If you have seen Logan's flashback scene from the first X-Men movie, it was not consistent to this movie. Because Logan never volunteered to become part of Weapon X program. In the comics, he ...

FAIL FAIL FAIL PROCEDE WITH CAUTION 2

Well before I start to realy sink my teeth into this movie, I would like to say that this is most certainly not a spoieler free review. In order for people to understand just how bad this movie is everything will be used.   Next thing I would like to point out is that my reviews are for comic book readers, not for the little kid that just wanted to c some explosions on the bog screen or the poepl who reallly don’t know s%!@ about the charatcers and just wanted to well… see a movie.   This revie...

    X-Men Origins Wolverine 0

The best thing about movies like this is for comic geeks to totally flip out at the thought and hopefully execution of bringing their favorite comic characters to life. Many a comic movie has gotten an extra star or a half because of the geek factor. That being said. What was done to Deadpool at the end of this movie was horre ... horin ... really really bad. There is a reason he is called the "Merc with the mouth. take that away and you kill the character. Also adding Cyclops eye beams? C'mon. ...

    A new origin 0

The story begins with bothers James Logan and Victor Creed killing their father when beating their mother, from that moment they will only have each other to survive. In the upcoming years they fight together in historic wars no matter the reason it was. Logan (Hugh Jackman) and Victor (Live Schrieber) join a special operations team led by colonel Stryker who uses mutants for special operations. During a special operation in Nigeria, Logan refuses to obey the others of Stryker when orders to ki...

Terribly Average Movie Has Nothing To Do With Wolverine 0

Alpha Flight, Bullseye, The Hulk, Mariko Yashida, Stick, Yukio... These names are familiar to anyone who grew up reading the X-Men comics. Specifically they all related directly to Wolverine's back story. They are also all completely absent from the movie "X-Men Origins: Wolverine".Wolverine was always a mystery man. That's what I liked about him. That's what *everybody* liked about him. So, I was more than a little skeptical when I heard they were going to be making a movie about his origin sto...

    Overall, a decent film! 0

X-Men Origins: Wolverine was overall, a very enjoyable film. Great visuals, fast-paced action scenes, and some great characters make it entertaining and a good way to waste time.In the beginning, the movie focuses on the story line from the Origins series. You see Wolverine (James Howlett) as a young boy in bed and sick, while his best friend (a young Sabretooth) stands by the bed. The story unfolds and it turns out that Sabretooth's father, Thomas Logan, is also Wolverine's father. Unfortunatel...

I hated it. Hated it. Liked it. Then once again hated it. 0

Let me say this before anything: it was good. Just... I wouldn't have had any problems with it if it didn't take place in Marvel. And they renamed every character. And it didn't horribly suck.Heres what I thought:WOLVERINE: Good at the role of Wolverine. It'd be hard to replace him. Iwould've loved to see him in the Wolverine costume, but its a MARVEL movie. It'll never be as good as the comics 'cuz Marvel gets the dumbest writers. Dont get me wrong, I love Marvel, but the only movies I liked so...

    Becoming the Wolverine 15

After recently seeing The Wolverine at the cinemas yesterday I decided to go through the X-Men film collection, but this time in chronological order, starting with this.PlotSPOILER FREEWolverine grows up with his brother Victor Creed, progressing through multiple wars before joining up with Weapon X. He then later has to return to Weapon X's leader, William Stryker for help, getting his Adamantium claws in the process.ReviewOverall this was a good film, but it wasn't brilliant, and had a lot of ...
