    Good ol' fashioned Deadpool Comedy

Another stereotypical deadpool comic. One crampacked with satir and comedy from none other than the crimson comedian, the regenerating degenerate, the merc with a mouth, deadpool. It promises in on the origins factor, giving an indepth look at the shrouded past of wade wilson, revealing aspects not none to most marvel fans. Yet alot fans can't help but feel that this is just a promotional ploy to entice peoples intrest in the character due to movie expectations. Most fans are fimiliar with Ryan Renolds portrayal of Wade Wilson in the X-men origins wolverine flick, and are expecting a spin-off film where he once again dawns the role. This comic literally feels to be telling you," go see deadpool movie"! To other fans, its just another deadpool comic. The character already has numerous titles under his belt, and some are feeling quite binged on all the titles and wish he still just had one. In the recent years his popularity has sky rocketed, hence forth the movie idea.

Still, deadpool was constructed to be comedy relief to the marvel universe, although he's been involved in serious arcs including the cival war, secret invasion, and his not so serious scrap with Bullseye during the Dark Reign. This comic is just another attempt to make the crimson clad anti-hero seem more serious by giving you a look into his actually very normal past. From a soldier, to a mercenary, to the gun toting lunatic we know today.

I'm not much on spoilers, but the title says it all. Deadpool wants a major motion picture. If wolverine gets one, then its only fair he gets one too I guess. After sitting down with major writers, he construdes together his origin story, one packed with tender moments and things not really known even by the most die hard deadpool fan up till now. It includes cameos by Wolverine, Cable, Bob, the wary agent of hydra, and low rank mutant Copy Cat. Also a look into deadpools life with Haily Wilson. So for deadpool fans new and old, its sure to stimulate your knowledge on the character.

One of the greatest origin titles I've read so far, mostly due in part to Deadpools comedic take on life and they stereotype that all Micheal Bay films are nothing but drama and explosions after explosion. Hopefully soon the speculated Deadpool movie will be released, and his star will darken giving real deadpool fans time to stomach the character in one or two titles instead of having him crammed down our throats. Most people don't even realive that technically deadpool isn't a mutant, he's classified as a meta-human. The only similairities he shares with the X-men is that him and wolverine were both involved with the weapon x program.

Asides from the storyline, writer Duane Swierczynski packed it full hilarious and witty social comentary, and gave deadpool some of his most hilarious qoutes in my opinion. Plus the spectacular artwork by Leandro Fernandez is a great complement to any rag of a story, and lastly the cover by Simone Bianchi ties it all together rather well. Overall its a very good insight to deadpools past, such as an origin story should. one packed with an even dose of ation, comedy, and all that old deadpool gusto.

In my opinion, it scores a 3 outta 5, an average in my book. It had more of a serious tone than most other deadpool titles, and I read deadpool on more a comedy bases, yet it still had its fair share of mouthy goodness. Yet the only way you'll be able to tell if you truely enjoy it is to go out there, and pick one up youself. So to all the fans out there, easy reading!

The Deadpool we know and love. 0

I've always been a fan of Deadpool, he was probably the first character that got me into comics and he's had his fair bit of good writers (Joe Kelly, Duane Swierczynski) and bad writers (Jimmy Palmioti, Daniel Way) but he's always had some bit of attraction to me, something that always dragged me in. Well there is a lot of that here in this one issue.   The beginning of the book is actually really hilarious, with Deadpool interviewing some screenwriters for his upcoming Deadpool movie staring Ry...

      Great 0

I'm fairly new to comics and have never read a Deadpool comic before in my life.  I went into this not knowing what to expect, and came out quite enticed.  Since I have never read another Deadpool title before, I can't compare the quality of this comic to other issues.  That said, the premise of the comic is what really piqued my interest from the get-go.  Deadpool interviewing directors for a movie about him- brilliant.  So, Deadpool doesn't like a director's artistic vision.  What does he do? ...
