Plot Summary
The conclusion to the Age of the Apocalypse. Apocalypse has a captured Magneto at his citadel and a piece of the M'kaan crystal. His plan is for the X-men to walk into his trap so he can finish them once and for all. Meanwhile Cyclops and Jean Grey had liberated the pens (A detention center for low level mutants and humans that were constantly being experimented on by the dark Beast) and are attempting to get them out of New York. What they don't know is that Havok is sneaking along with escapees waiting for the perfect moment to strike. The Eurasian High Council decided to nuke the United States in hopes of ridding the world of Apocalypse. The Southwest was bombed first, killing everyone there, and when Shadow King informed Apocalypse, he retaliated. He sent out his sea wall defense grid and destroyed all of Eurasia.

...Endings
This is an awsome comic...for anyone who loves the classic "end of the apocalypse" (excuse the pun) story line, this is a must read.
Starting out with a silent, if dramatic entry of the combined and full might of the X-men under Rogue into Apocalypse's (the mutant!) stronghold, this comic just gets better and better. The aim? Get Bishop, Destiny and Illiyana to the M'Kraan crystal..simple...beautiful. Along the way, fight Apocalypse, his son, Holocaust, his henchmen and all the guards. Good news? The mighty Magneto and Nathan Summers(aka X-man) happen to be present to take care of father and son. While all this happens, Jean Grey and Cyclops continue to lead humans out of the culling pens, to freedom. Unfortunately, the Eurasian council sent thousands of blimps loaded with nuclear bombs to destroy Apocalypse by demolishing North America. Jean telekinetically keeps the bombs from falling over them and they continue the evacuation. Sadly, a very jealous and power-hungry Havok watches them from the shadows. Bishop repairs the timeline, though to do it, he sacrifices himself. I was a little disappointed in Colossus...fine, be devoted to your sister, be distraught when she dies...but to kill Kitty and Bobby in your grief?!?! Not cool man! Especially since Illiyana was alive! Anyway, Gambit took care of that unfortunate incident. During the battle between Holocaust and X-man, something wierd happens when Nate stabs Holocaust with a fragment of the crstal they had been fighting over and they disappear. We learn, also that Weapon X has arrived with the Eurasian bombs hoping to spend dying moments with Jean Grey. Havok pops up, murders Jean and then his brother, proclaiming himself "the stronger" before being killed himself by Logan. Logan and Jean have a final moment together. No longer held by Jean, the bombs start to fall. Magneto dons fantastic armour from the debris in Apocalypse's tower and teaches Apocalypse the error of his ways. In the end, he rips En-Sabah-Nur in half (Yeay!!!) ending the reign of the First Mutant. Magneto, Rogue and their recovered child, Charles stand in the sunset, on the last page, watching as the bombs land, supposedly annihilating everyone, and everything. In true masterful manipulation of the characters, it ends on an emotional high...simple...beautiful.
