Probably one of the best Magneto stories around

If you didn't understand Magneto's motives before, then you will certainly understand them after you've read this mini series. Not many comics have left me emotional while reading it but this one certainly has. Greg Pak shows that he really understands Magneto and why is he's such a great writer. He doesn't pull any punches describing the horrors that went on in this dark era of mankind. And it's a good thing he doesn't, because even when I put the comic away it left me thinking about the horrors that transpired there and how they must have effected a young boy that witnessed it all.

I can truly say that you will never look at Magneto the same after you've read this mini series. You begin to understand his motives, and the deepfounded hatred he holds for humans. He never wish to see this happen again and that is why he's so protective of the mutant race.

    Pro's

    • There are great characterizations in this comic, you get a feel for every single character. Both their personalities and their motives.
    • This mini series will leave you thinking about the horrors that took place in that era.
    • If you wish to see the love grow between Max and Magda then this is the comic for you.
    • One of the best Magneto stories out there.

    Con's
    • I find it very difficult to find anything negative about the book, but if i had to mention something it would be that the artwork takes some getting used to. But after you've finished the first issue you'll notice that the artwork actually fits perfectly with the tone of the comic.

If you're a Magneto fan, you're pretty much obligated to read this story and i can promise you, you won't regret it.

      Never Again 0

Must like the last page of this book, this is one of the great works of fiction that you never want to read again. The story is very much like Schindler's List (in more ways than one) in which the tale is so heart breaking that you don't want to hear it. Yet what happens needs to be said.If you ever want to understand just how tragic life could get, this story is a great example of that. Magneto as we all know and love, grows up Germany and Poland during the WW2 era as a Jew, and its quite possi...

One beautiful piece of art 0

It is what it is. The demons that Magneto has are all presented in this story. His fight for the family, his fight for life, his values... and even the reason why we love magneto so much. He is the anti hero, the ultimate survivor, even as a kid he made it through years of hell. And the writing is as beautiful and dark ...
