That is one compelling cover. I'm really new to X-Men, this is possibly the first X-Men comic I've bought that isn't out of continuity. But with a cover like that, and a character named Legion, my curiosity is highly piqued. It's also interesting to see how much the cover really tells you about Legion. It tells you that he's insane to some degree, and that he has multiple personalities. This could've been illustrated another way, sure, but this way is just so unique and demented it had me.The st...

X-Men: Legacy #1 ReviewOverview:Legion is the subject of this adventure. The Good:The story has the potential to be an interesting one. As always, Legion struggles to keep his multiple personas in check and he has traveled to the Indian Himalayans to study under a guru for old telepaths. One of the better parts of this story is that it doesn’t talk about AvX at all, which sounds like a bad thing but it is because it is happening during the event and they are so isolated, they don’t know about it....

    X’s Legacy a $ too far 5

I’m not familiar with Legion apart from knowing he’s Professor X’s son, apparently the most powerful mutant on Earth (haven’t we got a few of those?) and that he’s crackers. Having read the staff review mention this isn’t a great jumping on point for new readers, albeit it’s an issue #1, I decided to give it a go anyway. The issue tries to highlight both Legion’s dark side as well as his more comedic personality... and boy does this guy have personalities! The first two pages are downright awful....

THE COMICCreative Team:Writer - Simon Spurrier.Penciler - Tan Eng Huat.Colourist - Jose Villarrubia.Inker - Craig Yeung.THE STORY"Prodigal"THE VERDICTDid I take a wrong turn somewhere? I really wanted to love this from first sight. Over complex for what could have been great, X-Men: Legacy tries too hard for it's own good. Simon Spurrier's writing is text heavy at moments, leading to a clash against the unruly artwork.THE RATING1/5 Stan Lee's....

    X-Men: Legacy #1 do not disappoint. 0

Marvel Now's 'X-Men Legacy' is my first comic book encounter with the Legion character and I have to say that I'm his fan already.I was waiting for the issue one with excitement, grabbing and processing every little teaser available on the internet. So even before I read the comic, I knew who Legion is, who's son he is and what powers he have. I knew what is his state of mind, and of course, because of all that I knew how potentially dangerous he is. I was impressed by the cover and the black an...

PlotDavid A.k.a. Legion is the son of Charles Xavier, how will he react when he learns of his fathers demise? The ArtIs okay. It's nothing amazing, it's a bit messy at times. It's not bad, it's just nothing exciting.Story and ScriptI gotta say I didn't think I was going to like this as much as I did. Initially I was very excited about the series but as I saw all the reviews come in, I decided not to pick up the book. However when I went to my LCS today to pick up some comics, this was $1.99, so I...

Not sure how to feel. 0

I really like the cover art. For a start. I am not entirely sure about this book, I read it thoughtfully. It didn't seem to make much sense, does one of the other x-men books connect to this? Is there a series before this? I don't read any books related to X-men, so I kind of feel like an idiot after reading this. Don't get me wrong the art was nice, the writing was alright, but you can't start a comic series off, like a video game. Although straight off the bat, you can tell this is going to b...

A fresh air in a insane world 0

I really liked this first issue, it was published a few months ago but I just read it and I find it awesome. Retrospectively, the story of David Haller is an interesting way of connecting the worlds of two forgotten characters - blindfold and legion, and briefly Merzah the Mystic. Its a gracefully way to pay tribute to old characters and recognize their legacy on new storyplots. The action scenes inside Legion´s mind fit perfectly with his background and finally gave an oportunity to David to a...
