The posters are nice. Great to see Colossus and looking forward to Blink. I had read Rogue won't be part of this movie? If true, that is truly disappointing.

Hope this will be a good one. I was impressed with X-Men: First Class, I hope the trend continues.

Who the hell let them release that Colossus poster? It looks like someone glued a Greg Land Colossus face one a real person. It doesn't even look like it's photoshopped. That poster looks like a student project...... It's awful.

I have a feeling this is going to be like X3, where you have a ton of mutants with 3 seconds of screen time just to keep them from going back to Marvel.

This movie will have a lot of mutants with very little screen time, much like X3 did, but that's not how the rights work. Marvel's film rights go out entire properties, not individual characters. Fox keeps the X-Men or they don't. They don't just lose certain mutants if they don't use them.

Dalton is right, showing them in the movies is more for merchandising than anything. Same reason IDW recently starting throwing every possible Transformer and G.I. Joe character into their issues as of late, so they can get some of the licenses renewed for toys.

@wmwadeii: Vein is right the X-Men characters are owned as a whoel as long as they keep making X-Men movies Fox owns all the mutants even if they don't use the characters. They would've gotten Deadpool or Cable or Dazzler or Jubilee back by now if each character had to appear every blank amount of years. You can use only Wolverine for the rest of their life and they still keep the rights to all X-Men characters.

@thewalkingdeadpool18: Dalton said that, basically Fox needs to only make one mutant movie to keep the rights to all of them like you said. Vein was thinking the opposite that they needed to actually put them in to guarantee exclusive rights. I was talking about adding extra characters so they can merchandise them aka more action figures and toys. Although the whole exclusivity thing goes out the window when Marvel themselves say so, look at Quicksilver and Scarlet Witch. All Marvel had to do is make them non mutants but experiments (spoiler from CA2 end credits).

Actually the reason Marvel can use QS and SW is because of the way they were worded in the contract. They can't do that to any other X-Men character.

Can Marvel use adamantium? I mean there are a lot of things in the marvel universe that use it other than wolverine.

Rumor has it no Marvel can't use admantium but i don't think Marvel has said they can't use Admantium. If it's written a certain way in the contract maybe. Their not allowed to use the word mutant.

Rogue never did anything impressive in the movies, and wouldn't have. She only had like 10 minutes in this, so you aren't missing much, unless you wanted to see a powerless Rogue sitting around doing nothing that badly.

Exceeeeeeept... Marvel owns the marketing rights for the X-Men still, Fox only owns the film rights. And I don't remember the last time Marvel allowed them to merchandise the X-Men movies since they are rival film companies now.
