As an army of vampires descends on San Francisco, the X-Men find themselves in dire straights. The good news is that they may have just discovered a means for stemming the invasion. The bad news? What they need is in the clutches of the vampires themselves. Luckily, the X-Men have two thieves in their employ that may just be able pull off such a heist. As a self-proclaimed Gambit and Storm fan, I was expecting alot out of this one-shot, but ultimately it ended up failing, epicly. The story starts off with our favorite duo heading towards a vampire island in order to retrieve the body of Dracula, however on there journey they stumble across many obstacles which make there journey quite difficult. Luckily they are aided by Dracula's own son Janus.  The concept of the story was actually a good one, and had alot of potential, but it didn't live up...

So far, I've been enjoying Curse of the Mutants, and have generally been liking the X-books. This one shot as you know features popular X-men Storm and Gambit. Both of whom I like. For me the main problem was the art. It's not bad, it's just a little too anime-like for my taste. It didn't hurt the issue too much because it's a one shot, but I don't think I could stomach an on-going with interior art like this. I respect it and appreciate it's style, but it's just not for me.
