    The Good!

This issue picks up right where the last one ended and the action starts to pile on as the threat comes into focus…..clan Akkaba vampires. We also learn Starsmore’s powers flame breath a lot like the bio organic flames chamber once had, sweet!

More of the clan’s customs come to the fore as Apocalypse and the inner council interacts. Van Helsing also makes a strong character able to stand up to and even have Apocalypse’s respect. This issue also calls into question the worthiness of the inner council itself as Jack a lower caste member is the one doing everything in his power to save the clan. It calls into

question as well the “fitness” of the clan itself since they have become self absorbed and self important.

Tieri has a great script with nice focus while Clayton’s art remains top notch!

    The Bad!

The cover this time around was not as strong or as good as the first issue.

    The Ugly!

A far more action packed issue than the first with a stronger plot 4/5 stars
