    X-Men #24 Review

    Overview:

A Jubilee centered issue that is all about her and vampires

    The Good:

The issue is a good jumping on point for new readers as it is the start of a new arc. This issue gets into what it means to be a vampire and brings up questions on how a person is turned impacts how they act and why vampires thirst for human blood versus “warm mammal blood,” personally I have never thought about that when reading a vampire story so I found it very interesting. The Forgiven seem like a cool new group that could end up good guys or bad guys.

The art is amazing; I like the detailed simplicity of it and captures the mood well. I feel a lot of the story is told through the art, which is good.

    The Bad:

The team only shows up on the last page. Personally I am not a fan of the team since half are in UXM, there are enough other characters that Storm, Colossus, and Psylocke don’t need to be in this one too, especially Psylocke.

    Verdict:

Overall a good issue that is definitely setting up for something bigger in the next few issues; Jubilee fans should definitely get this as the whole issue is about her
