    Junkpile, La Lunatica, Desert Ghost, and Skullfire are captured by the cyborg mutant Driver in his mechanical lab set to have their minds downloaded into a computer in a bid to revive them into a Utopian future. Junkpile's powers cause the Driver's devices to haywire by his own power and the Driver loses the memories of his mutant captives. The demonized mutant Brimstone Love descends to reclaim La Lunatica to his fold to a fight that destroys the Driver's station only to leave Driver embittered . Desert Ghost loses his conscience to Brimstone Love as his latest inductee.
