GUEST-STARRING THE NEW GHOST-RIDER! When a medicine woman is at death’s door, the demons she has been containing for decades are looking forward to their freedom. Good news… the X-Men are on the scene. Bad news…these demons are out of our mutant super heroes’ league. It would be nice to have help from Ghost Rider, but is this new Spirit of Vengeance friend or foe? This is a perfect jumping-on point to the X-Men book in the middle of the Marvel Universe!

More of a Ghost Rider Intro than X-Men issue 0

Unfortunately, this story was tainted by the unshakable feeling that it simply  existed to get people excited about the new female Ghost Rider.  Also, are Marvel standards so rigid that they can't have a standalone issue?  In other words, why waste a .1 issue on this story?  .1 is supposed to be a good intro and this is NOT a good intro into the X-Men.  (Unlike the Magneto one that references Xorn as Magneto) The story wasn't that bad, but it's s bit atypical for the X-Men storylines.   One of t...

Conrad's brilliant art saves a so-so story... 0

Marvel's gimmicky "Point One" campaign has been going on for several months and just when you thought it was over, we get X-Men 15.1. Intended to be a good jumping on point for new readers, this Point One doesn't offer much in the way of an introduction to the team. In fact, this issue seems to spotlight the new Ghost Rider far more than the X-Men. But while there might not be much here to entice new readers, I did find it to be a fun little diversion from the longer, weightier X-Men story arcs...
