Things are looking up for the women of the X-Men!

What's happening and why it's happening.

"Nuff said!" Written by Brian Wood with artwork by Kris Anka and colors by Jason Keith.

    The Good

    Roll call!
    Roll call!

The story revolving around the "X-Women" was interesting. It had a bunch of popular female X-Men that helped weave this story and conclude (what to me looks) like the end of a story arc. While not having read prior issues, writer Brian Wood did acquaint many readers (including me) with solid action and (from what I read) a decent story.

The story had the X-Men fighting against Arkea, whom was attempting to wipe out all of humanity and eventually replace it with her own perfect image. Wood did a good job at writing this issue and also catching up readers, briefly, with the overview of what's happened as of late.

The artwork was perfect! Every time I read ANY X-Men or X-related book, the artwork is always handled with care and is done to the best of the artist's abilities. Props to the art team on the artwork!

    The Bad

What my major problem with this issue was how I didn't have a good understanding of all that was happening. The brief overview that Brian Wood gave was nice, however it didn't feel in the gaps that were created after reading this issue. Yes, it's possibly the last issue in this story arc, however I would've at least liked a detailed overview that gave me (as a reader) a bit more insight.

    The Verdict

More X-men, cause you love it sooooo much! If you love this series, I'd like to know why and what's your favorite part about it! And also if you recommend I go back and read prior issues! This is a good X-Men series, I don't completely understand what is going on, however Brian Wood does have a good handle on the story from what I've read. The side story and artwork for both of those parts were good and I'd like to see more from this creative team. 1 out of 5.
