Interesting start! 0

X-Men is back! While other X-Men titles are also good, I missed having the iconic X-Men comic. A strong Plot set up by Brian Wood, excellent art by the amazing Mark Morales, Olivier Coipel, and Laura Martin, and a great promise of a good comic! What Went Down:We meet Jubilee with a baby of all things coming back to the X-Men mansion from Bulgaria. Some man, presumably rich, is following her so she calls up the current mentors of the Jean Grey School for Higher Learning, who are her family, and le...

T&A Equals Totally and Awesome 0

THE GOODSlightly sexist jokes aside, the female part of this book might actually be my favorite part. I'm really looking forward to a book where each of these characters gets to have major parts. Kitty Pryde and Rogue are great characters and are going to get more time than they have in the other series they've appeared in recently. It's a shame that they, Rachel Grey, and Psylocke (who I haven't really noticed outside of Uncanny X-Force) are such awesome characters but aren't used. I'll admit, ...

Okay. Not Great Though. 0

Okay, maybe I'm the only one who didn't think this issue was that great. Don't get me wrong, it was enjoyable: most of the characters are well-written, their interactions here are great, there some good action which shows just how badass Rogue is. However, I noticed some serious flaws that kind of dragged down the issue for me. First off. what is with Kitty's dialogue? Like, how old is she supposed to be? She talks like she's thirteen. I was a little thrown when she said OMG the first time, but ...

Jubilee Returns 0

Although the previews for this series looked amazing I wasn't originally planing on getting this series, as I'm getting enough X-Men series' as it is. I did however change my mind when I heard about the upcoming Battle of the Atom crossover, which will include this series, wanting to get to know the direction of the series prior to the crossover.PlotAs Jubilee flees with a child, she calls the X-Men for help, saying that she's being followed. There however seems to be more to this child than mee...

Cue the Femme Fatales 0

I have been waiting for this book for a long time. The publication date kept getting pushed back and I was in Japan when it finally came out. So, needless to say I have been hyping this up in my head for months and couldn't get a copy until yesterday. But, the comic gods be praised! I was not disappointed. It did everything you want in a first issue regarding character and story introductions while answering all of my questions (not often does this happen with Marvel, might I add). Yet, they...

Without Rhyme or Reason 0

I was curious when I first heard about this all female cast to an X-Men book, which, for whatever reason, is still called X-Men and not X-Women (heck, even an adjective of some capacity might have helped with referring to it as something other than "the all women X-Men series"). I'm big on promoting all female casts in comics, a genre generally vacant of such things. Yet, as we've seen in Fearless Defenders, making an all-female series for the sake of having one often doesn't bode well. This is a...
