X-Man is an Omega-level mutant genetically created by Mr. Sinister in the Age of Apocalypse. He shares the same genetic history as Cable. Nate recently burnt out his powers, and has become a member of the New Mutants.

I think Nate should take Julian under his wing. It would be good for both of them...and they could kick so much ass!

I think they both need new codenames...

This would be a weird combination. Something I wouldn't mind seeing in a story-line, but on a regular basis. They'd clash too often, as they're both Alpha Males & Hellion wouldn't like living in X-Man's shadow ;)

That would be some of the fun of it. But if you read some of Nate's back issues, the two have some similar characteristics. And not only could he mentor Julian with his TK skillz, he could be like an older brother to him.

I'd want X-Man (and Rachel) to mentor Hellion, I'm not sure how much a series would work, though.

@John Valentine: It could work, you just have to imagine.

For example: Nate and Julian could be like Mutant Jedi Knights traveling around the world dealing with roue Mutants and other fun stuff.
