Why/how is Pyro potentially omega level? Can someone also clearify why blob, forge and cable are also potentially omega level? If Mr. Immortal is on the list, then shouldn't Wolverine be on the list? Thanks
X-Gene Mutant
Concept » X-Gene Mutant appears in 4014 issues.
The Children of the Atom, mutants are individuals in the Marvel Universe who are born with an X-Gene that grants them superhuman abilities. Mutants mark the next step in human evolution, known as Homo Superior.
What the heck? About this list....
Yeah he is homo-supreme, but I don't see him being much if any more powerful than other omega levels, so in my opinion, he is just omega level. Also, wolverine and many other characters are a lot like mr. immortal (better and worse in different aspects), so shouldn't they be higher up on the list?
You seem like a very knowledgeable person. Can you tell me the limits of Wolverine's healing factor (anyone can answer by the way)? I have tried to pin this down, but I hear many different stories about him being immortal, healing factor resides in his soul, surviving being completely de-atomized, and many other fantastic claims.
Wolverine is not immortal. (cant remember what issue it was) but in Wolverine Civil War, the issue right before the Sentry shows up to stop him, his head is nearly cut off. He admits himself that that would have killed him.
I know the first nine were mentioned in comics but 10-13 I haven't seen. Whoever added them could site the comics that information came from. The other lists don't really mean anything. (Omega itself is just a title.)
As for this:

"some believe it to be so, but it is not true, it was stated that the only reason he survived Nitro's blast is because his adamantium skull protected his brain from disintegration
immortal means he does not age...which he doesn't
some believe him to be able to live forever but I disagree with that statement"
Depends on if you're sticking to the written stories, but it was explained in Wolverine: "Logan Dies" (57-61) that he actually was immortal because he killed the angel of death. His soul couldn't die so his healing factor would bring him back together from anything (that's how he survived Nitro). That's been changed now and he says he's back to how he used to be. (Don't know exactly how efficient that makes his healing factor though.)
Also, he does age. There have been a few far future stories that show him as old, gray and not quite as physically fit as he is now (complaining about being out of shape and showing that things he does now are difficult and painful in his old age). There's actually another such story coming up. So he does age, just very slowly.

He is able to create any machine,no matter what it is.Are you kidding me?
The following list is of mutants that fit the characteristics needed to be an Omega-Level mutant:
Wanda Maximoff/Scarlet Witch-She is

Bennet du Paris/Exodus-Yes
Ororo Munroe/Storm-yes
Mikhail Rasputin/Mikhail Rasputin-No
Nathan Summers/Cable-Not with that virus

Kevin MacTaggert/Proteus-Should be

Also there is a character in the Marvel Universe who seems to have surpassed Omega-Level and is the true pinnacle of human evolution, and so he has been deemed Homo Supreme rather than Homo Superior:
- Craig Hollis/Mr. Immortal
You know, I've only seen one written example of someone being confirmed as Omega and that was Iceman. Not saying there aren't others, but if someone had knowledge of where I could see other examples I'd be greatful.
I have to agree. I don't know where a lot of this is coming from. "Alpha Mutants," "Omega Mutants," etc. It's all Greek, literally. What's next? Delta? Theta? Sigma? (Yes, I use a lot of Greek in teaching Mathematics).

His ability is limited as he isnt consciously able to understand the mechanics of his more complicated machines, needing to take them apart to do so.
He would need to be able to display an ability like Hank Henshaw(cyborg superman) to be possibly considered Omega, i.e. transfer consciousness into a machine making one's self practically immortal.

Why is Prodigy and Sage on that list?

and what exactly does unlimited potential mean? complete control over their own powers? able to do anything they want? its all a little vague to me.

I thought it was a point where the control became something intangible and made them immortal, for example, Iceman could originally manipulate watre int he form of ice right? So IF he were to manifest his full potential, he would have unlimited control over heat in the sense of taking away heat. He could possibly exist as some sort of absolute zero "space" in the universe, eventually unneeding of a body but becoming his power. Thats what I thought anyway.
