    X-Force

    Team » X-Force appears in 1999 issues.

When Cable reformed the New Mutants, he made them his soldiers. They became a mutant "black ops" team, assigned to kill not just the enemies of the X-Men, but of all mutantkind. Although this team eventually disbanded, the X-Force moniker has persisted in successive iterations of more and more aggressive X-teams.

Who do you think are the best x-force members of all time ?

Cable is great and noone will replace his x-force. They so tough & cool. In the 90's x-men were the best , x-factor were good but x-for ce were so cool at that time. I mean x-force today is good. So much darker then cable x-force, which is much is of a suprise, i think x23 is so funny.

Warpath, Cannonball, and Cable are the three that first come to mind. Warpath is the chief mainstay of X-Force since the beginning. No other member has been on the team longer(except Boom Boom). As for Cannonball, what can i say about him that everyone doesn't already know. He stepped up when Cable disappeared. He kept them together. Cable made them into what they are. He turned Cannonball from the akward country boy into a strong leader with his own voice. X-Force was his vision. He way of preparing the X-men of tomorrow for the hardships down the road. Plus, he's a kick azz character.

That wasn't X-Force he was on. it was Gambit and the Externals from AOA. That was the title that replaced X-Force during AOA. People need to get their sh!t right. They even have his first appearence as UXM annual 14. WTF is wrong with people?

i am really enjoying messiah war chapter one, the x-force are good, deadpool was funny. Bishop is liaring to stryfe, I wonder what stryfe will do to him when bishop betrays him. Where does apcoalypse fit in this story ? I loved the stryfe's strikes files, they look so cool..

I loved the prologue issue. I agree, the team is great and Deadpool, written by Kyle and Yost, is quite funny. APOCALPSE!

yes apocalpse, bishop says to stryfe, i can give you apocalypse, so I  wonder if apocalypse will played a part it in.  I hope not. I want stryfe to kick some ass again. I think deadpool will betray the x-force & cable and i think bishop will die in the end. Do you think messiah war will be better than messiah complex ?

I hope he plays a good role. I really like him. I think Stryfe might become the next Apocalpse.
Interesting theory, I think that might happen. I hope Bishop dies, he's becomming annoying.

I'm not sure. I think it will be awesome, then again, I really liked Messiah Complex. Messiah War will be more linear, and I suppose it will provide a bridge between the first and fianl parts of the Messiah Trilogy. How about you?

I think it will be better than messiah complex, i hope the x-men don't play a major role in it. I mean cylops should, of course but what can he do now. I don't think bishop is ignoring, i think he is very determine, he will die in the end, i think stryfe might kill him, if not wolverine & cable will. So far i liked idea that bishop trying to catch & kill cable & baby and cylops sending the x-force to stop him. I wonder were deadpool fits in all this.

The Deadpool of the future timeline. (Current Deadpool + 1000 years).

X-Force is better than any other X-titles at the momment, undoubtedly having the best team. (Though, I personally think X-Factor is on par with it, I can see why other might not like it as much). I can't wait for the next stage in the Messiah Trilogy. I prefered Bishop as a good guy, which is why I don't like him that much as a villain, though I can now appreciate that he's somewhat convincing.

I  think cable is a better x-force member/leader then wolverine cause he started the x-force,  but wolverine is better x-men & character then cable. looking at others listed, none of them are better characters then wolverine, but they are better x-force members and that's cause they are the originally x-force. It's like saying  if siryn decided to joint the x-men and she became a really good & interesting member for a while, would that make her better x-men then Rogue, Jean or  storm, the answer is no.

I can see what you're saying, but I don't agree.  Cable's team had a different purpose.  It took a bunch of school kids and taught them how to be soldiers.  Despite all of Cable's ranting, X-Force didn't really take the fight to the bad guys, but seemed to  be ambushed a lot and managed to fight their way out of it.  They weren't X-Men, but went on to become X-Men.  And they were often left to fend for themselves since Cable would abandon them to have adventures in his solo series.  The new X-Force has experienced and dangerous X-Men who have mainly physical abilities (i.e. no energy bombs or earthquakes).  They're more secretive, while Cable's team were brash, bold & loud.  So Cable led a team for the 90's, while Wolverine leads a team that reflects the present.  So far Wolverine has stuck with his new team through thick & thin, regardless of events in his own series.

So the question is 'who are the best X-Force members?', you have to think about which X-Force you're recruiting for.

you know i like what your saying, i kind of agree with it , cable'sx-force  is totally different to wolverine x-force, there purposes are so diiferent. and it's funny to think that cable, will need wolverine x-force help in the messiah war. I think characters liked domino & warpath have learned a lot from cable, he aslo taught them to relie on each other without him, just like charles did for x-men, that why cylops is such a good leader now, you learn alot from your mentor.Personally I like wolverine as a character more then cable and time will till how long wolverine x-force will last for, how long will he lead this team for.  You're know it's my  opinion, an everyone is entitled to there opinion.
I loved current x-force, but cable's x-force will always have some of the best x-force members.

This was my all time favourite line-up.  Plus Domino (minus Locus).  I was disappointed after the AOA finished that Dani didn't stay with X-Force.

And yeah, Cannonball was a GREAT leader, especially as Cable was constantly running off for adventures in his solo series.  It really pissed me off that when he "graduated" to the X-Men and he became a Southern country hick all over again.
