Shazammers!

@G-Man: This is just 3 issues, right?
#4 Posted by longbowhunter (8481 posts) - - Show Bio

I'd like to read this. I dont think Yost & Kyle have done anything with X-Force that hasnt been good.
#5 Posted by dan1509 (184 posts) - - Show Bio

Great review, did you feel like this was just a step up to the 2nd issue, I felt like just as it started to fire up, it ended? I know it's a 3-parter but I woulda liked it to be a bit longer.

Other than that, i loved this issue, it was more just Wolverine and Domino but it was what I want x-force to be, just pure Wolverine kicking some ass well....

but such a great issue, who was the bloke at the end tho?
#6 Posted by G-Man (38993 posts) - - Show Bio
@Edamame: Yes, three issues.

The art in the issue is just so gorgeous. I feel in love with Gabriele's art when I read Secret War, it's just amazing

"If you're a kid, don't let your parents see this. They might wonder what kind of comics you're reading."

Way to be a role model, G-Man! LOL

Definitely sounds interesting, the art looked beautiful in the preview images which also did a great job at conveying the violence in the issue.

Will have to go look for this.

Kewl Thank you :)

Gabrielle DelOtto's art is just amazing. I might just pick it up for that alone.

#13 Posted by Archetype (726 posts) - - Show Bio

Definitely a recommendable title especially given the fact that X-Force is about to shuffle it's roster to an almost completely new one...which really saddens me because except for the addition of Fantomex I don't really like the new team but the book has been written pretty solid so I'm conflicted.Anyway great issue I assume it takes place before Second Coming and this story might be the main reason Logan kicks Domino out.

Good review, except for the part where you tell younger readers to hide this book from their parents.  The parental advisory is there for a reason, and it seems very irresponsible of you.

#15 Posted by Aspenite (935 posts) - - Show Bio

I´m looking forward to it!

i love gabby's work she makes me want to go in to the comic book world lol and nice review g-man i liked it

Why do comics love this title so much?  There was Sachs & Violens, Savage Dragon: Sex and Violence, and Sin City: Sex and Violence.  Isn't this title overdone?

Absolutely, same here.

I've always seen a parental advisory as a note to kids: don't let your parents see this!:)
#20 Posted by Thunderscream (1933 posts) - - Show Bio

are you in a wine cellar?

#21 Posted by Comiclove5 (1304 posts) - - Show Bio

It was more violence then sex.

That's the Whiskey Media Office bar.

Loved this issue. The art style makes the X-Force seem much more real than any other book in the X series at the moment.

#24 Posted by warlord1234 (1294 posts) - - Show Bio

I have yet to read the comic but it seem that modern day writers want to turn wolverine into some kind of killer machine.

#25 Posted by Pacperson (304 posts) - - Show Bio

This was a great issue =D

Can't wait for the next

#26 Posted by Kid_Zombie (823 posts) - - Show Bio

It's a different writing team taking over the new series right?
I dont really like the new team. i like fantomx (minus his spaceship) and i dig deadpool on the team (unless he breaks the forth wall then id be pissed) but other then that. What happenes to x-23? or warpath? or domino? I havent read the last few issues of second coming so that could explain things.

Whats happening to yost and kyle? are they doing a new x-book? Please say yes! ha ha They should just take over x-men or uncanny x-men. Im the rare few who like fractions take on uncanny x-men but hes no yost and kyle.

parental advisory isnt that bad.  its the MAX: Explicit thats the problem--parental advisory is only PG-13.  No f-words, no nipples, just some implied stuff and some graphic deaths.  then again i haven't read this book.

wait, i have a question: are wolverine and domino starting a relationship??

Sex & Violence? Now that is worth paying for ;)

But tasteless joking aside, that was a good review, G-Man.

@Violet-Eyed Dragon:
You should read it and find out, I thought it was great, but like G-Man I hope more of X-Force shows up.  And by that I mean Archangel.  I would love to see him done by this artist.

"If you're a kid, don't let your parents see this." - G-Man just completed the Cool Quest and  he is up one level :D

The art looks great.

#40 Posted by NXH (1031 posts) - - Show Bio

Great to see you going back to your solo reviews, G-Man. Can't remember the last time you did one (apart from the one for second coming 2). You still got it! ;)

#41 Posted by Chris2KLee (175 posts) - - Show Bio

I liked the art a lot, but for some reason the story didn't click with me that much. The back and forth between Domino and Wolverine just reminded me of the widescreen X-men special they did a few years back with Domino guest staring. To be fair, nothing in the X-line recently has interested me so I'm probably not the audience for this.

#42 Posted by harleyquinnhawkgirl (612 posts) - - Show Bio

How come both you and Babs do the unscripted reviews anymore? Great vid though.
#43 Posted by Krooze (10 posts) - - Show Bio

Man, I'm gonna miss Kyle and Yost!
