Anyone else looking forward to this title? A team led by Wolverine with Deadpool that is looking to kill Apocalypse? Sounds like a winner to me. I know there are a lot of X books out there, but this one sounds very promising. What do y'all think?
X-Force
Team » X-Force appears in 1999 issues.
When Cable reformed the New Mutants, he made them his soldiers. They became a mutant "black ops" team, assigned to kill not just the enemies of the X-Men, but of all mutantkind. Although this team eventually disbanded, the X-Force moniker has persisted in successive iterations of more and more aggressive X-teams.
Uncanny X-Force!
I think that Cannonball and the other New Mutants should stop being the New Mutants and they should have the X-Force title for their team....Cannonball was just as much of a son to Cable as Hope was a daughter to him and Cannonball deserves to be leader of Cable's team
" @eldestrisk said:yup and he was shown as a much better leader than he has been in the latest New Mutants" @danhimself: He is more a New Mutant than Cable's "son". X-Force was always about the renegades of the X-Men, not about Cable. "Original X-Force run was quite Cannonball centric for the first 40-ish issues or so. "
Absolutely true. That will always be my favorite X-Force, with Cannonball as the leader. (The short time Pete Wisdom was on it, was great too) But still the nostalgic factor of New Mutants is a bigger reason for him being on New Mutants rather than X-Force. But that's just my opinion. =)
I agree with you
I'm glad the New Mutants have Cannonball back too
I loved him on X-Force, it was definitely one of my favorite periods of X-Force history
Syrin was always so cool on X-Force too, IMO
I'm stoked for Uncanny XF
I'm dying to get it
I was kind of uncertain about this book. I liked the previous X-Force series that just ended. But my main worry was the interaction between the characters of this Uncanny X-Force, and mainly with Deadpool's interaction with the others. There are already too many books out there featuring ( an ill-written ) Deadpool, and I was really afraid seeing Deadpool as a team player, especially in a team led by Wolverine.
After I read the little Uncanny X-Force preview in Wolverine: The Road to Hell I posted something on my blog about this here, I focused mainly on Deadpool's character, since I know his best.
As I said in the blog post; this preview got me really excited about this X-Force. It seems to have captured the characters' essence really well and featured some basic, yet well-done interaction between them. I was also content on how Deadpool was written.
Today, my excitement got multiplied after getting to flip through the first issue of Uncanny X-Force at my local store. The art looks great, the written ( for as far as I read it ) seems pretty solid too. The first issue already seemed to be pretty action packed too, so this will be an incredible interesting first issue to pick up.
Anyone check out the first issue yet?
This book killed it, good job Remender. He likes Fantomex and writes him well same with the rest of the team..and the art is phenomenal!
"Looking forward to it, although I think getting apocalypse should be done by cable... Still the title should rock "
The other X-force had its chance to finish apocalypse. I do not see this team doing it !! Angel/Archangel does not have it in him.
Yes it did. He is creepy as a kid. LOL
