That thinks that this is probably one of the best on going X comics out right now?
X-Force
Team » X-Force appears in 1999 issues.
When Cable reformed the New Mutants, he made them his soldiers. They became a mutant "black ops" team, assigned to kill not just the enemies of the X-Men, but of all mutantkind. Although this team eventually disbanded, the X-Force moniker has persisted in successive iterations of more and more aggressive X-teams.
Am I the only one?
I dont think its as bad as I thought It would end up, but it is nowhere near as say, X-Factor. Or even the previous X-Force books.
Yeah, X-Force and Uncanny X-Force have been awesome. Not just simply one of the best X-titles out there, but simply one of the best Marvel books out there.
I wish the art were better. And maybe they'd address the Betsy/Warren stuff but I've been hoping for that since she came back to life. And I don't really like how they're portraying Deadpool (And I'm not even a Deadpool fan) he just seems so different from how he's portrayed elsewhere. And I'm kinda sick of them trying to make Fantomex so badass....So yeah its not doing it for me.
You are not the only one. I however am not on your X-Force loving team.
I was thoroughly bored with Uncanny X-Force and dropped it after this last issue. That being said, I 'm not entirely happy with any of my X book pulls right now, except maybe X-23. And even with that one, I wouldn't say I am thrilled with the books direction or execution of the story, but rather am such a fan of the character that it doesn't take much to keep me on board. My Uncanny X-Men, X-Men Legacy, X-Men and Wolverine should improve soon also, or this X fan may ax a few more titles. Let's just say I am bored with the direction and stories the X books have been taking.
I am a long time fan of the X-Men, who has been slowly but surely placing her X books at the bottom of the stack. On top these days are mostly DC; Secret Six, Batman and Robin, Birds of Prey etc., some Top Cow; Witchblade, Artifacts, Darkness and a few odds and ends from the likes of Dynamite, Vertigo and Darkhorse.
Marvel and the X books once were on top of my stack, well actually they were top-ish right beneath Secret Six, nothing tops the Six EVER. Hahehheh.
At this point it would take a seriously awesome turn of events for me to get excited about any X book.
The first four issues were incredible! 5 and 6, in my opinion, were pretty boring. 5.1 was just ok. Hopefully it picks up in the later part of the arc. As far as it being one of the best x-books, I'd have to say it is the best one.
deadpool in x-force is being portrayed closer to the way that made him an awesome character in the first place. from what i hear
" @PrinceIMC: deadpool in x-force is being portrayed closer to the way that made him an awesome character in the first place. from what i hear "Yes, Thats my favorite part of the book.
D-pooly is one of the main reasons I read this title! His interactions kinda make the issues seem.... Less extremly violent and graphic?
