Second Coming returns to X-Force for chapter 9 of 14.  The X-Men are literally stuck in a situation where sacrifices aren't feared, they're more than likely a reality.  With Bastion's forces coming through a portal, someone is bound to get hurt.  Scott has a plan that involves X-Force, but this plan will likely end them.    What You Need To Know. Mutant Utopia is enclosed in a giant red sphere thing.  Nightcrawler is dead, but not the only casualty.  Hope is determined to see the end of this, ev...

Another great issue of X-Force 0

The Foursome of Yost, Kyle, Choi and Oback once again creat another kick ass chapter of Second Coming. My only real beef is that once again Hellion get mauled again in a major crossover but at least he's alive and gets a touching sceen with X-23 in the med wing. Also Storm saying that she and Cyclops need to have a talk is great, and its great to see Storm once again be bad ass as opposed the damsel in distress for Black Panther.   Overall 5/5 and next issue should be great...provided Fraction ...

    Mike Choi Is Fantastic 0

Plot & Action: The big bubble has people trapped in San Francisco. There's a battle with the team and Nimrods. Those who survive then talk about what's next and enact that plan. There's more action and progression than there has been in recent issues. I wish the pace had gone faster to show the plan in action now as opposed to waiting til next issue, but they do have to make this last a few chapters longer.Character Work: I can't really say anyone stands out in this issue as far as character...

Beneath it all, he's still a father 2

"Shut Up".   Beautiful, just beautiful. I don't think I can sum the issue up better than with those words of Logan's. The whole world is going to hell, and Wolverine tells the complainers to "shut up". Craig Kyle and Chris Yost "shut up" for almost half the issue, and let Mike Choi handle it. And handle it he does. I've always been a fan of Choi's art, and though it sometimes loses its consistency, no one can argue that it doesn't look mighty fine. So cheers to Choi for bearing the majority of t...

Wow, what can I say about this issue?   Fantastic. First of all Kyle and Yost giving Choi the first ten pages without dialog to depict the battle on the bridge risky, but it paid off, honestly I don’t think any artist but Choi (with the help of Oback) could have done this, the art tells its own story. On to the story itself, no disappointment there, two scenes in this book strike me one is when  Bastion's endgame is reveled, the dialog between Cyclops and the x-men is great, one part I was no...

OH! That's how it works! 0

X-Force #27 Second Coming: Chapter 9 This issue was amazing.   Choi is at the top of his game, telling half the story in this issue with no text required.   The opening sequence pages are an all out battle between the X-Men and Bastion’s Nimrod series sentinel squad.   I was also happy to see that they are still treating this like it is a war and there are losses suffered.   Kyle and Yost are among my favorite X-writers and they do a great job with this script.   Second Coming continues to be o...

Xforce once again best second coming book 1

So far in the second coming rac the real major big hitting issues in terms of actual arc plot easily fall into the last two xforce books. Twenty six "the previous issue" had the very well handled and widely predicted death of Nightcrawler and this issue once more kicks the fighting up another notch and brings some real tension and emotion to the second coming arc.  The Good Once again the xforce team combine both steller visual work with excellant writing , this issue even has a prelonged sectio...

    Silent but DEADLY 2

Cover: The cover looks very nice. It has nothing to do with the story but, the art is beautiful. Story: The story starts out on the Golden Gate Bridge. The X-men are trying to destroy the sphere that is in the middle of the bridge but, it is unbreakable. People are getting hurt. Namor went near the sphere and if it was anyone else they would of died in seconds. Scott says they have to go to the future and the only way is to use Cables device and Scott will send Cable and the X-force team to go t...
