For once the cover isn't a lie

Yup! Monet and Layla fight - after the fight they had a couple issues ago over Guido, it's not really a huge surprise. The story that's been going on for the past six issues or so is finally wrapping up and I have a feeling that over the next few issues we'll finally see what's up with the leadership of the team and if they're still going to be doing detective work. The villain in this issue (as appeared in the last issue) appears to be setting up a huge storyline. For how isolated X-Factor tends to be (I don't even think it's participating in Avengers vs X-Men), it almost seems like it's going to be setting up the big summer event - at least if the villain isn't using hyperbole at the end as she describes her scheme. I think the best part of this issue (and the reason to get it if you like the book, but aren't regularly collecting) is that we finally some deep insight into Layla's thought process and why she brought Guido back to life. Definitely worth getting, but if you're not already collecting, it'll feel like too much wrapping up and not enough setup for the next arc.

The scenes are emotional and engaging, but more importantly, they explain the theory behi...
