X23’s greatest dilemma – Innocent victim or a Killing machine.
I think, all of you see X as an innocent girl who was used to kill people, but if we reconsider it, judging by her other series, we might see a slightly different image. She was born and trained in a closed environment. She is very intelligent, but all her wisdom serves only to kill more efficiently. She visited a lot of countries, but only because her targets was there. The main fact is that she keeps telling herself that she is used and wants to be free, a normal person, but she doesn’t know how is to be a normal person. Like in the epilogue of Second Coming – When situation is under control, she still wants to be ordered, what makes Wolverine angry.
Daredevil and captain America, Cyclops and Emma Frost, Wolverine and Cyclops, The game master and the demon. None of them is entirely right. It’s hard to stop doing something if you don’t know anything else. Even if she stops engaging in her missions, ordered from the others or herself, she will still be thinking in those categories. She may have destroyed her masters from the facility, she may have escaped from the x men and x force to walk alone, but she can’t live on her own, she can’t live a different life than a killer’s life. Like in the X23 Ongoing One Shot – She kills a guy, cuts his head off, because he was hurting a prostitute, but after killing him, she tells herself that she is used to kill. What? She is used by herself to kill? She could scare him rather than killing. But that’s the problem with her. She don’t know how to scare, hurt non-lethally or persuade, because she was taught only to kill.
She tells herself that she wants to be a free, normal person, but she keeps killing, what makes her become something what she despise. What is your opinion? Is she an innocent victim or a killing machine?
