Well?
X-23
Character » X-23 appears in 2383 issues.
X-23 is a product of the Weapon X program, born from a damaged sample of Wolverine's DNA. She has recently aged up, being saved from the Vault.
What is a good X-23 story
X-23: Innocence Lost and Target X explain her life pre-Xavier Institute.
NYX shows how she lived on the streets.
New X-Men shows her adjusting to life as a "normal" mutant.
X-Force shows her in what she does best: fighting and killing.
X-23 is her newest run and shows her trying to find who she is.
The main thing that I can say is DO NOT try any of her issues in Uncanny X-Men 450-460.
If you are new to X-23 I would advise trying Target X first then the new series X-23. Target X gives a good background of X-23 before you get into the newer stuff and it has better art then X-23: Innocence Lost and it goes further than Innocence Lost too.
I hope this helps.
@daak1212: This volume. She first appears in issue 20.
Okay cool so pretty much childhoods end?@daak1212: This volume. She first appears in issue 20.
Also I think you just reached the land mark of 54,900 posts. Gratz
I'd say try the X-23 "Women of Marvel" one-shot for a nice little story with great artwork. It's honestly what got me into X-23 in the first place.
HERE's the Comic Vine profile of it.

@daak1212 said:The entire volume is out of print!?!! Okay this leads me to my next question why is like vol1 not out of print but vol2 is.@_Whisper_ said:Because it's out of print.@daak1212: It's US :( I own all the other trades except for that one because of it's price. What I did was just read the full plot synopsis on uncannyxmen.net. Extremelyyyyyyyyyy detailed.Wait why is it so expensive?
@_Whisper_ said:Yeah, the entire volume. The second trade is so expensive because of what happens in it.@daak1212 said:The entire volume is out of print!?!! By any chance do any of you know where I can read comic books online,by buying them then reading the issue? Because I really don't feel in the modd like buying them on AMAZON and waiting like forever. Or going to a store.
Try Amazon, I think I saw a few copies up there for not-so-bad-prices.

$55 there...still pretty expensive but still better than $155...or you could troll through eBay. I can't believe it's so expensive. I swear I've seen it around a few comic places in the midwest (was on a trip in Iowa). Keep your eyes peeled!
@daak1212: Sorry dude...that is part of my reference collection for fanfic writing >,> lololwas the series good by any chance?

Target X is my personal favorite.
Her stories in Marvel Team-Up were also very enjoyable (actually I loved this whole series, Kirkman never fails to wow me)
@daak1212: If you have the spare change and were still interested in reading up on her, I'd seriously suggest getting a subscription to Marvel comics. It's something like 4.95/month or 59.98/year and you have access to everything in their digital catalog. This includes pretty much everything that X-23 has ever appeared in.
