Laura & Gambit
I love the dynamic between these 2 in Laura's new series. Gambit is exactly what Laura needs. A friend who isn't an angel and has a checkered past of his own. He doesn't judge her for her actions and genuinely wants to help her.
This new arc rocks and I can't wait to see them take on Malcolm Colcord & Weapon X!
Agreed, plus this series is making gambit likable again. But yea I can't wait to watch these two let loose on weapon X and Colcord, and curious about what's going o with the new Mr Sinister and Ms Sinister
yeah that was definitely a good idea and good use for gambit's character. especially since sinister is involved now
" Don't agree. "are you joking or do you seriously think they don't work well together?

" WAIT. Are they in a relationship O_o or simply doing the Wolvie/Kitty Pryde, Wolvie/Jubes thing? "thats all i've seen unless I missed something.
" @rogue_mar1e: oooooh yeah that makes sense, but they are just going on missions together. They aren't going out like Gambit and Rogue "yea ^___^
I don't mind it that way

Its more big brother little sister. Oh, well, maybe more like big brother, friend of little sister, little sister never actually existed or is... Wolverine. Ah there, that makes things much, much easier to understand right?
Laura and Gambit dynamic is great, because it highlights how sensitive Gambit is as a character, and for me, thats his appeal, since he has always been smooth, cool, relaxed roguish and all that, but Gambit is not an alpha male chest beater. Gambit tends to know how it can be for an outcast who feels alone, like truly alone, and him and Laura can relate because of that. Plus like others have said, its great for Laura to have this person thats just there but doesn't expect or judge her or feel like they have to be there for her. Not that Wolverine isn't there for Laura, but for all intents and purposes they are family. Gambits more like a good friend who understands people better and is better at reading people who tend to be quiet and stoic. X-23 still gets to be vague and quiet but still communicate with another person on a deep meaningful level. It highlights her awkward social interactions with people as well, even though she has improved a lot, but Gambits a lot better naturally because of his charisma. Thus as an X-23 fan I get to be more endeared with her, and as a Gambit fan I get to like and appreciate how nice and genuine he is, when it comes to things that actually matter.

Perfect explanation, SC. I couldn't have said it any better. As a fan of both characters, I'm really digging this title right now. Hopefully, this will open some eyes about Remy as a character for those who are on the fence with him. I still would like to see him kick some a$$ and take some names, though...

Perfectly said SC.

I'm not a Gambit fan, so I don't care too much for the pair up. I would have preferred to see a Wolverine/X-23 pairup, showing him actually being her mentor and helping her sort through some of her problems. I'm aware he was occupied with the Hellverine plot, but it's still what I would have preferred to see.

Besides, Wolverine is everywhere at once and adding him to the book would have been underwhelming.
well ,i don't have more romantic mood for this "happy sunshine world" ,so some crab like being family and about friends and love ,it's just so... childlike.
at least you got good reason ,and when i say good reason ,it's mean GOOD REASON ,like a comic book story that write by a good writer.
No way, he is keeping an eye on her for Cyclops or someone. But is getting involved to keep busy and really wanting to help Laura. No romantic chemistry but the pairing works for me. They will be good for each other, plus Laura is young and I think Gambit knows his limits and his style wouldn't work for Laura she got it for Hellion but who knows where that will lead.
I'm curious to see how Gambit will come into play in the near future when Laura and Daken confront each other.
Agreed (Wolverine pair up - I am a Gambit fan)" I'm not a Gambit fan, so I don't care too much for the pair up. I don't want to see that Wolverine pair up. He has so much on his plate but also he has too many of his own issues to work out. She needs someone who isn't straight laced but isn't total evil influence. Remy is a nice medium straddling the fence. I would like to see them throw Hellion in there with his mixed up morals right now and see how that goes. It would be too perfect for her healing power to help him get his hands back somehow.
Y@frogjitsu: Yes he doesn't need hand because of his TK but he has been going down a very dark path since he lost them. If they let him retain his memories after AoX he might be okay but either way I would be interested to see him thrown in the mix of this storyline. Even though they have Wolverine's son in the story at the moment.

"II'm thinking most people will retain their memories from AoX because then the story arc was pointless in the grand scheme of things, but yea loved hellion's AoX hand setup
