ok heres how the explination goes. since the dna taken off of wolverine was ruined (more specifically the Y chromosome) they decided to instead replicate the x chromosome again and make her a girl. This came with the side effect of a few male/ female differences. As with lions, the males are purely offencive creatures using their front claws do maintain dominance over their pack. However with the lionesses who defend the cubs and such utilize both their front and hind claws. hence two in front and one in back

That would be hilarious. But a Raptor's toe claw goes up and down in a slicing motion to kill prey. 3 or 4 stabs from this claw by a Raptor to a Stegasaurus could kill it. (I like paleontology)
