    Clashing Claws 2

I've been very exited for this issue, especially since everyone was talking it up at C2E2.  Liu did not disappoint.  She has previous experience writing Daken and I hope she's able to show it off in this 3 parter.  In this issue Laura and Gambit are in Madripoor to hunt down Daken and Colcord after the swashbuckling adventures of issue #7.  So far the series has emphasized the question of Laura having a soul.  While it did not come up in this issue her actions showed that there is hope.  In the ...

What kind of sibling rivalry is this ? 0

Issue #8 of X-23.  The Story: Laura and Gambit are in Madripoor and meet Tyger who  helps them meet Daken.  The Good: At the beginning of the issue we get to see how Laura does good even if it takes away from her grand plan. Also the way they trick Daken into meeting them was clever. The fight between Laura and Daken is simply great. Also Stegman's art is good but I don't like it as much as Takeda's art.  The Bad: I was annoyed when Laura and Daken were talking and Daken didn't belive that Laura wa...

Synopsis: The X-23/Daken crossover begins. What's Good? I'm coming in this somewhat blind because I didn't read the recent Daken issue, but since this issue officially starts the X-23/Daken crossover, I think have an idea to what Daken's been doing in Madnipoor thanks to this issue.  It was nice to see X-23 to add some humor in this series besides Gambit. What saved this issue from being a letdown was the end with a fight between Laura and Daken. A new artist comes in X-23, and Ryan Stegman's ...

    That's What I'm Talking About! 0

Cover:   Laura is a little busty, but I guess that's just artist interpretation.  The cover is splendid though and very succinctly to the point! (No pun intended).  The Good:   The art is finally where it should have been all along.  Mr. Stegman needs to be a part of a lot more series, his pencils here are absolutely great and it makes the battles in this issue a very nice read.  The scene between Tyger and the newcomers is well put together; I like that she was able to cover her ass and still...

It´s very cool watching Laura and Daken in their first confrontation, there´s actually some interesting fights, but unfortunally the plot and story behind this confrontation isn´t good. This ongoing series is getting weaker and weaker by the month, started in issue # 5 with the whole Claudine and Malcom Colcord thing, I think whenever the writers are out of good ideas they decide to bring back Weapon X, come on people, move on with this idea already. The beginning of this saga isn´t good too: pu...
