Another "Wolverine Goes to Hell" tie in that doesn´t explain much about Logan´s situation, but it´s so good for exploring Laura´s fears, personality and dreams that can easily be not labeled or tagged as a bad tie-in. Marjorie Liu´s aproach on the character is amazing, very deep (not cheesy), with lots of elements of her persona that she uses to convince both the readers and Laura that she isn´t a killling machine, that she was just programmed to be so, but that she can delete all that since she has a soul, she can choose a different path. All the simbolism (wolves, hell, fire etc) is her inner demons, but she also has an innner strength which will allow her to discover herself as a person and become whole and free for the first time. So much cruelty and evil has Laura endured, and this is something that Liu can explore very well. Conrad´s art is amazing and Takeda´s flashback scenes were ok too (I would rather have the whole book penciled by Conrad). I would like to see Laura chasing the Devil and help Logan, but I don´t know if this will happen. Nevertheless this is an amazing book, highly recommended.
