Disjointed: like her Mind
This issue felt disjointed, but I felt that mirrored what's going on in X-23's mind. She's dealing with an old boyfriend, although that relationship might have been one-sided (I wasn't reading New X-Men or whatever book they were in at the time), she's trying to rescue the Richards children, and she's trying to decide what to do post-Schism. Marjorie Liu and Sana Tekada do a wonderful job portraying her feelings via her words and her facial expressions. I'm very sad that this book is ending. I do hope that Marjorie gets another crack at X-23 in the future because she brought some real character development to X-23 and I think part of that comes from having a woman writer.
