    X-23 #13
SO Laura is back in the big city! Gambit has brought her to the city to kind of ease her mind and find the name on her list. The name is Alex Cimini and he was a child that Laura didn't kill but killed his family. Gambit is still wounded so she takes him to Cecilia Reyes. She asked if Kiden has been here and Cecilia says yes but not often. Laura leaves him with Cecilia to get better as she goes off to find Alex. She finds him but decides not to approach him. As she leaves she feels pain from something within her. It seems to be a cult symbol that's in the sky that's triggering the pain. The city starts getting destroyed (as if it's not already destroyed from Fear Itself) when this man with that same symbol on his forehead is shown on a panel. X-23 goes to help an elderly woman but Spider-Man helps them both out. They help save everyone in the area and do some cleaning up. The other three members of FF arrive to tell Laura that it's not over yet.

    The GOOD!
I really love that Laura and Gambit's friendship is developing. They truly care about each other. Laura revealed to Gambit that she used to be a prostitute in NYC and you can see the pain and sympathy Gambit had in his face. Cecilia Reyes was a cool cameo for this issue and I'm glad that Laura mentioned Kiden and the rest. I read the first mini series of NYX in April and I fell in love with it. I hope that Laura does reunite with them and hopefully they appear in an on going series or something! The story itself so far seems mysterious and cool. I liked the pair up of the FF and X-23.

Art: I was just starting to like Takeda's art work on this series and they weren't even the artist for this issue! But Moto did do a great job with this issue! I loved the art.

    The BAD!
I feel like there's never any definitive arc in this series. They all just follow each other. In a way it seems like Laura's path towards something. But sometimes the stories within the arcs don't stand out as well. So far this story seems very vague and might not stand out to me down the road. The ending was a little bit of a let down. There was no clue as to what's next or any cliffhanger.

    The VERDICT!
This issue was very good. I say pick it up! 4 out of 5!

Synopsis: While in New York City to find clues on her past, X-23 encounters a mysterious symbol. What's Good? Call me crazy, but this issue reminded me of NYX. It's no surprise, considering that Marjorie Liu wrote the second NYX series. While none of the cast of that series made an appearance, it was a nice reference to it, that also provided some information about Laura for those who haven't checked the series out. I really enjoyed that fact that Laura was making choices for herself throughout ...

      Back in New York. 0

Review of X-23 #13.  The Story: Laura and Gambit are in New York to find another person on Laura's list but a strange symbole in the sjy cause's some destruction and she team's up with Spidey and the FF.  The Good: I really liked Phil Noto's art, it has this kind of old school feel to them, I have no idea how to describe it but I really like it. The use of this old X-Men related character was interesting since she wants nothing to do with heroes. Also seeing Laura choosing little things in her l...
