"Clearly, you need an intervention even more than I do."
Synopsis: When Laura gets word of someone is selling a trigger scent, she decides to put a stop to it.
What's Good?
So after that cliffhanger at the end of the previous issue, the story could had went anywhere. Thankfully, the story goes back to a previous item during the Collision crossover-the trigger scent. So what do X-23 decides to do? Gets to the bottom of it, now joined by Wolverine, Jubilee and Gambit. But besides the main story, I like that Marjorie Liu takes the time for Laura and Jubilee to get to know each other especially at the beginning and while they went shopping (even though it was weird seeing Laura in something other than black). Characterization is key here with this series. Also, Laura's mood is slightly better than the previous issue.
While the cover is the least interesting art wise (Jubilee looks more like a zombie than a vampire and Laura just looks awkward on the cover), I find myself loving Sana Takeda's artwork once again. Like the previous issue, I love her take on Jubilee. I'm still not too keen on her being a vampire, but she looks so wonderful under Takeda. She almost stands out more than Laura. The city of Paris still looks nice in the background, and there is, of course, more blood.
What's Bad?
Jubilee got another new power thanks to her being a vampire? It's a cool power to see people's memory by drinking their blood, but I guess I can forgive this since Jubilee is still getting used to being a vampire. Minor complaint.
While the story does pick up from the previous issue, it's a little slow due to the interactions with Laura and Jubilee in the beginning.
Overall: Alright, we got ourselves a story now thanks to the trigger scent. I am curious to see who is really behind it. Lady Deathstrike maybe? Good issue.
