     X-23 thought she had walked away from her past, but after her brutal discoveries in Madripoor, she realizes there are some crimes-of the heart and body-that cannot be so easily forgotten. But as memories begin to spin her out of control, an old mentor and maybe a new enemy come back into her life: Wolverine...and the vampire, Jubilee.

    Heart to Heart Thanks to some intervention from Daken, I've found myself finally completely on board with the X-23 series.  After such a big event, you'd figure that Laura would need some time to decompress.  Not so.  Even as Laura  moves towards finding atonement for her past sins, she finds herself opening old wounds.X-23 #10 has Laura and Gambit in Paris.  Remy tries to console a chronically depressed X, even attempting a birthday celebration for her.  However, the knowledge she gained from h...

    X-23 #10 Ok so here's my first review of X-23! I just recently became a fan of her character and series so this new arc is a great place to start my reviews for this series. Laura and Remy are in Paris and it's Laura's birthday, although Laura doesn't acknowledge it but Remy tries to. Meanwhile Laura still cuts herself to feel a form of pain due to some underlying issues. Remy tries to protect her and show her he cares but Laura is still defensive.     Synopsis: Laura hits a dark spot in her life.What's Good? X-23 #10 I'm going to start by saying Sana Takeda's artwork is absolutely beautiful. Her artwork gives off the direction Marjorie Liu wants to tell with her story. I really wish Takeda would be the main artist for this series. She gives Laura a perfect look when it comes to her facial expressions, I love the shine effect she gives to both the characters and the surroundings.
