Wyre was an assasin for a orginaization The Secret Empire that wanted to recreate strands of DNA.He soon began to regret his actions and set out to destroy the monsters he helped create, one of whom was future Alpha Flight member Wild Child.
Wyre managed to track down Wild Child but was captured by Alpha Flight.Reflecting on the direction in which his life had taken him, he soon became a ally to Alpha Flight but never actually joined the group. After Alpha Flight disbaneded Wyre wasnt seen again.
