wow, what a surprise!
One moment involved The Deadpool Corps outsmarting the Champion which had actually had me laughing out loud. that is not a figure of speech, I actually let out a huge laugh. Victor Gischler really shows how well his comedic timing is when it comes to writing comics with that one scene.
All versions of Deadpool are very similar but at the same time have their difference, which I give credit to Gischler for capturing that so well. Kidpool (Nicknamed "Tito" by Deadpool) is a bit of a whiny little brat, Lady Deadpool is a bit of a sassy woman, and Dogpool is just plain brain dead. That gives the characters some differences to follow and work off of, rather then all of them just acting the same. Their alternate versions of the same guy but that doesn't mean they are all actually the same guy.
My only real complaint is the artwork....Rob Liefeld is trying the best, and while his style is actually very recognizable, his inability to draw a proper human body is a bit of a problem. I actually liked the artwork from the back-up story more than the artwork from the real story....*sigh*....I don't want to bash Rob Liefeld, he certainly isn't the worse artist out there. Kyle Baker's artwork is actually more repulsive.
Overall, It was a huge surprise, I was expecting to hate it when comparing it to Deadpool MWAM (The best series we've got right now) but I actually enjoyed it. Thanks Gischler for the surprise, and a pretty damn good issue.
