We all have trade paperback (TPB) collections we'd like to see. Here's one of mine:

Proposed Title:Worlds Collide.
Collecting 14 Issues:Man of Steel #35-36 (Ch. 1, 10); Hardware #17-18 (Ch. 2, 9); Superboy #6-7 (Ch. 3, 8); Icon #15-16 (Ch. 4, 11); Steel #6-7 (Ch. 5, 12); Blood Syndicate #16-17 (Ch. 6, 13); Worlds Collide #1 (Ch. 7); Static #14 (Ch. 14).
Covers: (click to enlarge)
TPB Cover: Icon #16

Honestly, I don't understand why DC hasn't done this TPB already. When they licensed the Milestone characters to use in the DCU, I thought for sure that a Worlds Collide TPB would be the first thing they'd release, as an introduction to the characters. Maybe they decided against it, because they were treating it like the two universes had never met before. Still, they've done some Milestone trades since they got the license - still looks like they'd have collected Worlds Collide by now. If they ever do, I think Icon #16 should be the cover of the TPB - the pic of Superman facing off with Icon.

Would you buy it? Let me know in the comments, and thanks for reading.

I'd buy it, even though it is pretty much non canon now, It looks pretty sweet

@Emperor Gonzo Noir: Yeah, that's probably what stopped it from being collected into TPB, but I just want to see good graphic novels on the shelves.  I have the single issues, but I'd put anything Milestone on my shelf.  Those were good books.

@cbishop: We've gotten a few of the bigger Milestone books into trades, hopefully they don't just stop collecting part way through like they do with some series

@Emperor Gonzo Noir: The ones I know about: Static Shock: Rebirth of the Cool; Icon: A Hero's Welcome (reprinted after DC got the license to Milestone for the DCU); and a Hardware TPB, collecting the first several issues.  Have there been others?  I had the opportunity to speak to Dwayne McDuffie at a comic fest, at a local library, right after DC got the license to the Milestone characters.  One of his goals was to get the Milestone stuff in TPB through DC, but he had a back door to get the Milestone characters out of the DCU, if he didn't like where it was going.  He seems to have done that with everyone but Static, but I don't know for sure - I haven't been able to buy comics for months (I keep up with CV and Previews).

I have bought all 14 issues of the WORLDS COLLIDE series...and it took me about 2 years to find them all at the SAN FRANCISCO WONDER CON (2008-2010). It helped me understand the FIRST DC/MILESTONE crossover before MILESTONE returned....and it's really interesting....along with MILESTONE FOREVER...which explains the last adventures of ICON, HARDWARE, and STATIC, BUT how the DAKOTAVERSE entered the mainstream DC UNIVERSE.

@AMP - Seeker of Lost Knowledge: I have all of these issues as well, but I'd still like to see a slick TPB on my shelf.  I don't think it would hurt for DC to do it, just to say, "Look, we didn't just shoehorn these characters into the DCU - there's a history here."  Not that I think many would buy it, but it usually only helps to let fans know that you acknowledge the history behind something.

Yeah, I have all the single issues too, but would really love to see the TPB. :)
