Hulk Smashes Iron Man and Black Bolt! 1

Wow...the Hulk is really cool here. The mashup of intelligence, anger, and brute strenght is aweinspiring. Well of course, Hulk goes to the moon and takes out Black Bolt which is fun. But the real fun is when he fights Iron Man in a Hulk Buster suit. Say bye bye to Sentry's HQ and Stark Tower. I wonder what Sentry is planning. It looks like is going to eventually take on everyone in the Marvel Universe except Namor. I hope he kills Elloe. What a stupid character. Anyways this is a good start to ...

    Hulk Smash... EVERYTHING! 0

While Civil War started and ended with mixed reactions, World War Hulk started off with a huge bang. It is almost mind boggling how many things happen in the first issue of World War Hulk compared to most crossover events. Greg Pak knows what the fans want to see out of this event, and he delivers some of it in the very first issue. In fact there's a few things that happen in this issue that I thought we'd only see in the finale, and even at that I thought there might be a cop out and we wouldn'...

    Don't get Hulk angry. 1

On the eve of World War Hulk #2 coming out, I took another look at #1 and relived the greatness that is the green giant. We always knew the Hulk was a powerful being, but not up there with the greatest of greats! I guess when this is all said and done, we'll now be able to confirm that Hulk is indeed one of the strongest beings in the comic universe. As for the story telling, The Outsider said it best: Straight out of the gate, we get action and then some. To see the Hulk smash Black Bolt and the...

    What Do We Want? 0

Line of the month: "I don't want to hear you whisper, I want to hear you scream!" Moment of the month: Hulk holds the fallen body of Blackbolt up to show the world what he intends to do with it. Most desperate bad act of the month: Tony Stark tells the illegal heroes if they help they will be given amnesty - as long as they register. (Damn Skull.) Best time of the month: Tony Stark gets his metal plated butt kicked. What, you needed more then that? Okay, Marvel Universe about to get it...

    Enjoying the beatdown 0

I would have to say that this has to be one of my favorite revenge stories. The Hulk taking out Black Bolt in this series was just icing on the cake. They have done stories before with the HULK walking through the heroes of the Marvel Universe but I like the way this one has been written. The battle with Wolverine and the Fantastic 4 was classic. I guess we have to see what Thor, Sentry, or any of the other heavy hitters can come up with. I can't wait to see how it ends. Props to the WORLD BR...

HE SHALL HAVE HIS REVENGE 0

Pak has crafted a compelling story and character without Bruce Banner.  the Hulk’s lunar battle with Black Bolt  i have to say a few words about that: scary and dramatic. Black bolt is one of marvel's heavy hitters in paks prologue hulk says that black bolt has even defeated him. But now hulks power is beyond black bolts showing how much anger he has and that means that his revenge is assured. Romita jr brings a beautiful artwork especially when hulk destroys the asteroid....

HULK SMASH New York City not as Cool as HULK SMASH A PLANET! 1

HULK SMASH New York City not as Cool as HULK SMASH A PLANET! Now, Pappy loved PLANET HULK and I couldn't wait to read World War Hulk. I dived right in and loved the first 3rd of the book. Hulk Smash, Black Bolt,  Iron Man, Fantastic Four, Dr. Strange, Thunderbolt Ross and his army and later takes on the Sentry. Those I love it when the Hulk is unleashed. But Unlike Planet Hulk, World War Hulk takes you through the story rather quickly without a lot of the emotion that you get from its Planet Pre...

    Hulk at his best!!! 0

The GoodI love how they really made Hulk have more emotions, and fleshed him out more, instead of him being a mindless beast who randomly decides to wreck havoc among his teammates. Hulk is out for revenge, and nobody is stopping him, as shown in his epic battle with Black Bolt (in which he won). You see a more emotional side to Hulk in this comic, and you see how he is fleshed out as an actual character, not as a plot device used to bring other heroes together to stop one powerful menace. When ...
