Origin
Jubilation Lee is a Chinese-American girl, and was born in Beverly Hills, California, where she lived with her wealthy immigrant parents. An immensely talented gymnast, she was believed to have the potential to participate in the Olympic Games. After her parents were killed Jubilee ran away to live at the closest thing that felt like home, the mall. While there she stole to survive and was a constant annoyance to the mall rent-a-cops. Finally growing tired of her they called the M Squad to capture her. As luck would have it Storm, Rogue, Dazzler and Psylocke were visiting the mall from their home base in Australia courtesy of Gateway. Seeing Jubilee attacked, the four women easily defeated the M Squad and went back through the gateway. Unknown to them Gateway left the portal open longer than needed, and Jubilee followed them through it. Alone in the Australian outback, and unsure of what the X-Men would do to her, Jubilee created a small place in their hide out to live in. After a brief run-in with Nanny, Jubilee's presence was still unknown to all but Gateway who kept quiet. Some time later the Reavers came to the base to reclaim it, only to discover that many of the X-Men had already left. Psylocke, Havok, Colossus and Dazzler entered the Siege Perilous to escape from the Reavers with no knowledge of Jubilee still being there. Caught by surprise when he returned, Wolverine was taken by the Reavers and crucified on a giant X. Jubilee was terrified, but did not want to leave the injured man alone. Using all of his remaining strength, Wolverine forced himself off of the x-shaped crucifix. Thinking to herself that she could either help Wolverine or look after her own safety, Jubilee risked being detected by the Reavers in order to rescue him. She then nursed him back to health in her makeshift hideout inside the outback base, sneaking past the Reavers on multiple occasions in order to collect food and medicine. In a dream halucination, Wolverine thought Jubilee was a combination of Nick Fury and Carol Danvers. Confused and weak from the tortures that he faced, Logan lashed out towards Jubilee. Acting on pure instinct alone, Jubilee blasted him with her energy bursts, sending him across the room. After he came back to his senses, Wolverine decided it best for them to make an escape to a more secure area. Teaming up their powers for the first time, Wolverine and Jubilee managed to take down several cybernetic dogs. Donald Pierce of the Hellfire Club attacked soon after, as he was leading a group of Reavers in search of Wolverine. Thinking that he only had to deal with the feral mutant, Pierce was buried under a pile of boulders that Jubilee blasted off of the ceiling. Safe for the time being, they escaped to Sydney, where they boarded a ship to Madripoor.
Once on the island Wolverine and Jubilee began to form a close bond while waiting for his mutant powers to heal his horrible injuries. While in Madripoor Jubilee was captured by The Mandarin and Lady Mandarin. When Lady Mandarin led her to believe Wolverine was dead, Jubilee unleashed a massive burst of power in a fit of grief and rage, completely destroying Mandarin's fortress. The damage she caused frightened Jubilee deeply, and made her extremely wary of using her powers to their full potential, out of fear of hurting someone. Freed from her brainwashing Psylocke joined Wolverine and Jubilee in their travels. After hearing of mutants being attacked the trio made their way to Genosha where they met Boom Boom and Rictor who had lost their powers. Leaving Jubilee to guard the depowered mutants, Wolverine and Psylocke attempted to invade the Magistrate headquarters but were captured. The young mutants escaped capture and helped the other X-Men to defeat Cameron Hodge. Upon returning to the U.S. Jubilee joined Storm, Wolverine, Forge, Psylocke, Banshee and Gambit as a member of the X-Men. Although she accompanied them on many of their missions, they were wary of placing her in danger because of her young age. When Wolverine was kidnapped byThe Hand she argued that she should be allowed to help (as she had previously fought and defeated the Hand), and found an unlikely ally in Psylocke. After run-ins with the Skrulls, Brood and Mojo Jubilee was finally made to stay at the mansion, and not permitted on missions anymore due to her age.
When Professor X was almost killed by what appeared to be Cable, Jubilee informed the X-Men that no one knew what Stryfe looked like and he could be disguised as Cable. Once Professor X was cured he regained the use of his legs for a short time and Jubilee took him roller blading. After spending some time bonding with him she realized that he wasn't the stuffy guy she took him for, and they grew closer. After his legs began to weaken, Jubilee helped him back into his chair, realizing that just being there meant more than anything she could say. Some time later Jubilee accompanied Wolverine to their old base in Australia. Their arrival set off the Sentinels who's attack interacted with Gateways portal and sent Jubilee back in time to her parents house just before they were killed. Certain she could save them from dying in the car crash she was convincing them not to go when the doorbell rang. At the door were two hit men Reno and Molokai, who took her parents away at gunpoint. Learning that their car crash had been faked, and that they had in fact been murdered, Jubilee swore revenge. Upon returning to the present she tracked the two hit men down, with Logan backing her up the entire time. But once she had her parents killers at her mercy, she found that she couldn't bring herself to kill them, which pleased Logan.
Back at the mansion Jubilee became close friends with Colossus's little sister Illyana Rasputin. When Illyana was diagnosed with the Legacy Virus Jubilee spent all of her time at Illyana’s bedside. When Kitty Pryde arrived Jubilee was jealous of her at first because she was Wolverines first sidekick, but the two soon formed a friendship. Despite all their attempts they were unable to save Illyana. Jubilee took her death extremely hard, almost as bad as Colossus. Several weeks later she had another loss to deal with. After Magneto removed the Adamantium from Wolverine's skeleton, he decided to leave the X-Men for a while. Knowing how much this would affect Jubilee, he wrote her a touching goodbye letter and left his favorite cowboy hat for her.
A short time later Sabretooth was brought to the mansion by Professor X and held in captivity there. Jubilee was terrified of him, and had nightmares of him killing the X-Men. Attempting to get over her fears she began to bring food to Sabretooth, who taunted the poor girl mercilessly. One night her nightmares almost came true when the mansion's security system went down and Sabretooth escaped. He hunted the X-Men throughout the mansion, but Jubilee took him down with a neuralizer pistol.
With the other X-Men busy, Banshee was the only person to notice that Jubilee was having trouble coping with all that had happened. When the Phalanx assimilated most of the X-Men, Jubilee and Banshee were forced to team up with Sabretooth and the White Queen, Emma Frost, to escape from them. The unusual group worked together to gather all the mutants listed by Professor X as future allies. The Phalanx was defeated thanks to the sacrifice of a young mutant girl named Blink.
Generation X
Shortly after this, the Massachusetts Academy was rebuilt as a new home for the young mutants soon to be known as Generation X. Lead by Banshee and Emma Frost, the original group consisted of Jubilee, Husk, Decibel, Synch, M, Skin, Mondo, and Penance (Hollow) who was brought to them by Gateway. Seeing the similarities between Penance's arrival in the X-Men's lives and her own, she demanded answers from Gateway but received none. Although the Generation X team was technically only supposed to train to use their powers, in true X-Men style they ended up fighting several villains in a short time. One villain in particular, Emplate, quickly became the team's arch-nemesis, but Jubilee single-handedly defeated him on a couple of occasions.
At first, Jubilee had trouble adjusting to life away from the X-Men, and irritated her teammates with her constant talk of her adventures with them, never failing to remind them that she was more experienced than they were. After some time she became good friends with Synch, and developed a crush on him, which she never revealed. While Jubilee got along well with the other students, she was constantly at odds with M, whose power was "being perfect" according to Jube.
Jubilee was soon reunited with Wolverine when she went to visit the X-Men at the mansion. Upon seeing his transformation into a more feral form (due to the loss of his adamantium), she vowed to never leave him again. But Logan wanted her to return to school, telling her how deeply proud he was of her for wanting to learn to use her powers properly. Going along with his wishes she was able to convince him to come to the school to lecture.
Some time later, while trying to escape from Black Tom Cassidy, Jubilee was captured by Bastion, the head of Operation: Zero Tolerance. When she awoke to find herself in a cell her panic allowed her powers to flare out of control, and she accidentally injured several guards. Considering escape, she stopped when she saw that one man was seriously injured. Staying to help the guard, she was recaptured and returned to her cell. Bastion used a machine that would show Jubilee's thoughts and feelings while he was interrogated her. Using terrifying illusions of the X-Men in serious trouble, he was almost able to get the information he wanted from her, until he showed her an illusion of Wolverine begging for mercy. Knowing that Logan would never beg for his life, Jubilee realized that the images she was seeing weren't real, and she began to resist Bastion, who then resorted to brutal physical torture tactics. When the X-Men were captured some time later, Jubilee was able to free them, even though they were completely unaware that she was being held captive in the same facility. Jubilee was later able to escape with the help of Daria, a prime sentinel who looked like a young girl. While wandering in the desert, she was attacked by a Sentinel, but Wolverine (who had caught her scent on the wind and had run several miles to get to her) arrived to help the weakened girl.
Finally reunited with the X-Men she helped them destroy a Sentinel plant. Returning to the school, Jubilee learned that many of the members of Generation X had run-ins with Sentinels while she was away. She also learned that M was actually twin girls fused into one entity, the real Monet St. Croix had been transformed into Penance by her brother Emplate. This revelation did not bring the two girls any closer, and M's growing relationship with Synch pushed them even further apart.
Meanwhile, the school was running out of money, and Emma Frost turned to her sister Adrienne Frost for financial help. Adrienne opened the school to human applicants, and the Gen X kids suddenly had to take on secret identities in their own home. When Adrienne Frost turned on them and trapped them in an illusion in which they inhabited the Hellions bodies on they day they were killed, she was defeated by Emma, but managed to escape.
On the anniversary of her parents death, Jubilee saw the villainous Hunter Brawn in an old photo with her parents. She learned from one of her father's former employees that Hunter Brawn had been laundering lots of money through her father's bank, and when Mr. Lee threatened to go to the police, Mr. Brawn had her parents killed. Enraged, Jubilee planned and skillfully executed a solo operation to take Brawn down. In order to get past Brawn's security, Jubilee utilized all of her past experience in stealth, gymnastics, and field training. When she finally confronted Brawn himself, her rage once again caused her powers to spike to a massive level. She came very close to killing him, but at the last minute decided instead to blow up his warehouse. Brawn was placed under arrest by local authorities, and was sent to prison for murder.
Some time later Adrienne Frost returned to the school and incited a conflict between the mutant and human students. Jubilee was the first to be revealed as a mutant, and her room along with all of her belongings (including the only photos she had of her parents) was set on fire. The school was bombed and Synch was killed while trying to defuse an explosive. Emma could not take losing another student after losing the Hellions, and killed her sister in retaliation. The academy was closed to humans, and the remaining members of Generation X rallied together to help other kids in need. The death of Synch also brought M and Jubilee's feud to an end, as both girls formed a bond from their shared grief. Generation X disbanded and the school was closed after Banshee turned to alcohol following the death of Moira MacTaggert, and Emma sought to evade the police, who were investigating her sisters death.
Work, Hardships, and More Superheroics
Moving to Los Angeles with Skin, Jubilee decided to become an actress. Her career was short lived, since her unscrupulous agent made unwanted physical advances toward her. In a fit of rage, Jubilee unleashed a furious blast of energy towards the man, nearly killing him.
She later joined the X-Corps along with M and Husk so that they could keep an eye on their former teacher Banshee. Both Jubilee and Husk worked side by side in fending off the Blob, as well as rescuing Banshee from both Mystique and Abyss. When the group imploded from within and disbanded, she returned to Los Angeles to live with Skin.
Jubilee was not heard from until she was found crucified on the X-Men's front lawn along with Skin. Thanks to a transfusion of Angel's healing blood Jubilee survived, but Skin was not so lucky. While staying at the X-Mansion in order to recover both physically and emotionally from her loss, Jubilee confided in Husk as a best friend, revealing that Angelo had become romantically interested in her shortly before his death. They, along with Angel, attended Skin's burial. The ceremony was disrupted when the cemetary owner refused to bury a mutant next to normal humans. Enraged and further saddened, Jubilee decided to have Skin cremated, keeping his ashes to remind her of their love for one another.
Jubilee then joined the ranks of the X-Men for another short tenure, aiding them in their mission to rescue Nightcrawler from his father, Azazel.
When Cyclops took over after Xaviers departure to Genosha, he decided that Jubilee needed a mental break. She was not assigned to any of the three teams, to her great dismay. Jubilee's Aunt Hope then appeared and adopted the teenager, taking her to live with her in Los Angeles. She went back to high school and made several friends including a mutant named Shane Shooter. Jubilee's Aunt was revealed to be an assassin when a gun fight broke out at her house while Wolverine was visiting her. During the battle her Aunt Hope was presumably killed, and an emotional Jubilee moved back to mansion once again.
Powerless
Jubilee lost her mutant powers after the events of M-Day. During this time, she decided to remain active in mutant and human affairs by founding an activist website called Useyourvoice.org. She was interviewed about her power loss by a news reporter known as Sally Floyd. Soon afterwards, Jubilee was seen working at a half-way house for depowered mutants, along with another former mutant named Maverick.
When Wolverine came searching for Maverick, he was startled to find his old surrogate daughter and former sidekick, Jubilee, among the people at the facility. Almost as soon as the two friends were reunited, Omega Red and his mercenaries attacked them. Both Jubilee and Maverick tried their hardest to get the depowered mutants to safety while Wolverine fended off his long-time rival. Wolverine was knocked away from the battle just long enough for Maverick to be injured, and for Jubilation to get kidnapped by Omega Red.
By the time Wolverine was able to locate both Omega Red and Jubilee, it was almost too late. A bomb went off in the building that Omega Red was holding Jubilee in, due to interference by agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. When Logan arrived at the site, he came upon a nearly-dead Jubilee, her chest impaled by a fallen support beam from the building. Desperate to save her, and knowing that there was only one way to do so, Wolverine gave himself up to S.H.I.E.L.D. in exchange for their efforts to save Jubilee's life. Logan was taken into custody, and Jubilee was taken to a S.H.I.E.L.D. medical facility.
New Warriors
After the conflict of the Civil War, it was revealed that Jubilee had become the first to join the newest incarnation of the New Warriors. She had taken the codename Wondra, utilizing technological gauntlets that have granted her superhuman strength. She is the New Warriors field leader, training the team during practice and leading them on patrols and combat missions. She was involved the battle against the Zodiac in which her teammate Longstrike was killed.
Jubilee has lately taken a position of defiance against Night Thrasher, having noted his his unwillingness to reveal his identity, his frequent abandonment of the team during critical moments, as well as his other suspicious activities. Although the rest of the team has been accepting of Night Thrasher, Jubilee has been verbally outspoken in her disapproval of his actions, resulting in an increasing amount of conflict between the two.
Jubilee's teammates, all of whom had been former mutants and students of the Xavier Institute, have noticed a drastic change in her personality and demeanor from her days with the X-Men and Generation X. She has become more mature and driven, taking her role as the team's field leader very seriously. But she has also become more brooding, angry, and paranoid, much to the dismay of her friends.

Pyrotechnics - brightly colored bursts of plasma energy which she could fire from her hands as balls, streams, or any other shape. They went wherever Jubilee desired, and exploded at her command. She could also absorb the plasma energy back into her own body without harm.
Jubilee also possessed the ability to detonate matter at a sub-atomic level, essentially making her a walking atomic bomb.
According to Emma Frost, Jubilee was one of the most powerful mutants she had ever encountered.
Jubilee was also undetectable by Sentinels and their mutant tracking equipment. The true nature and extent of this power are still a mystery.
She is also a highly trained gymnast with Olympic-level agility and coordination.
Due to the events of M-Day, Jubilee lost her mutant abilities.

Upon joining the New Warriors, Jubilee obtained technological gauntlets that have given her superhuman strength, limited invulnerability and limited flight.

Alternate Realities
Earth-295
During the Age of Apocalypse, Jubilee was a member of Gambit's team of renegade mutants known as the X-Ternals. Her powers remained generally the same as her main counterpart of that time, with the exception that she was more willing to use her fireworks at a dangerous level. In one instance, she detonated the cloaks of the Madri's armor in order to knock them unconscious. She was also stated to have the potential to destroy whole city blocks with her powers in this universe.
Earth-1035
In an alternate future, after a thirty-year war on mutantkind, Jubilee stands as one of the last four mutants remaining.
Earth-58163
The House of M version of Jubilee was different than the 616 counterpart in many ways. She was a rich socialite teenage girl, whose parents were still alive at the time, unlike the Jubilation Lee of the main universe. Her best friend was Sooraya, also known as Dust. As a member of the New Mutants training team, she survived the events of House of M by using both an explosive personality and power set to defend herself. It is important to note that this Jubilee still kept her trademark compassion and love for her friends, although she was more willing to use her powers at a forceful potential towards enemies.
Earth-811
Days of Future Past
Earth-Earth-982
In the MC2 universe, an aged Jubilee took on the role of leader to the X-People. She was also a reserve member of the Avengers, and featured the same power set as her main universe counterpart.
