DC really needs to step up their game with Hollywood movies. Seriously, come on guys :/

Why would you use the same writer as Green Lantern when that movie bombed? Why even bother making a sequel for it too?

They should start with the new Superman movie, make a great Wonder Woman movie with a better writer, reboot Batman (or even just skip him for now, the public's already familiar and fond enough of Batman) and Green Lantern, make a damn good Flash movie, have Martian Manhunter just make an appearance in one of the movies (like Marvel did for Black Widow and Hawkeye) and maybe the same thing for Aquaman, because I feel a solo movie for him might not be received too well.

Like with all up coming comic book adaptations I'll hope for the best while planning for the worst.

I consider Green Lantern to be one of the worst films I've ever seen, so this should be great too!

Men don't often watch any movie with a leading woman unless they have no clothes on. I'm intrigue by the idea. Let's hope it doesn't end up like Green Lantern.

Please, for the love of Zeus, put Azzarello on the script.

@The Stegman: I would argue that Thor was really only successful because it was leading to Avengers. If it wasn't for that, I would say that as a standalone, it would've done rather poorly.

The GL movie was like watching Dragon Ball z the movie ... Looked so fake and budget ...

I hope this is not the case for WW because she is the most deserving of all comic book characters to have her own proper film.

Looking forward to hearing more about it, I'll go to see it no matter what the critics say.

I like the idea that each of the DC characters is the only hero in his/her universe, start trying to link them and it could get messy.

Think DC should keep heroes separate though, not build up each character like Marvel did with the Avengers, means a lot more work would be needed, means different actors would need to be selected for Justice League film than solo films, which would mean we'd be waiting even longer, but means they won't be so directly drawn against Marvel's success. And let's face it, whenever they release the films it won't be quick enough for us, but if they rush them and the films flop, they face the wrath of a world of nerds, and believe you me . . . that's not pretty!

Lynda Carter should be WW's mom. Anyone who had anything to do with Green Lanturn should never work on a DC film again.

DCs track record with their movies is extremely good,better than marvel.they have been doing this since the late 70s.so green lantern wasnt the blockbuster everyone thiught but look at watchmen,the last 2 batman movies(hell most bat movies),reds,road to perdition,v for vendetta,the early superman movies,constatine...they do ok.

When Aliens and Terminator 2 both came out, Hollywood hailed the rise of the female action hero. Ellen Ripley and Sarah Connor are two of the most badass female leads in sci-fi. If you're saying that Terminator 2 didn't have a female lead, I strongly disagree.

John Connor was the macguffinand teen sidekick, not the protagonist.

The idea that women don't sell is, of course, ridiculous, but KainScion has a point. Yes, both movies had a female lead, but neither movie used the female lead as a sell point. No, the sell points were scary-ass unstoppable hunter-killer machine and scary-ass unstoppable hunter-killer alien, respectively. Wonder woman, in that respect, would be quite different from either of those two.

That is not to say she can't be sold, that's just crazy talk.

God, they better get Bridget Regan for Wonder Woman.

If they get a good actress and a good story line, I will be happy. I just want to see a good WW movie before I die please.

The MacGuffin is the thing people fight over. What were they fighting over? John Connor. Sarah's role was to train him and protect him. She's the protagonist, just like Kyle Reese was in the first film. All the narration she did didn't make you think "hey, this is the protagonist?" Honestly, you'd have an easier time convincing me Arnold was the protagonist than John Connor.

Cinema Blend has reported that Michael Goldenberg has been hired to write the script. Goldenberg is no stranger to comic book movies as he also was the co-writer for Green Lantern...

they should let the people who did 300 and spartacus make a Wonder Woman movie, they would get it right and take the time to train someone to look the part and teach them how to fight. and let use modern Wonder Woman.

Cool with this, the batman movies, green lantern, and man of steel they can do what marvel did and make a JLA movie.

like DC. like WW, but a WW movie is a sure failure. the story they'd have to pull off would be enormously good (which is something comic book movies are NOT known for).

I think Lynn Collins would be a perfect choice for Wonder Woman!! She got dark hair, pretty face and bit of body-build that is a perfect match for Wonder Woman.

Yeah, the idea is to show her as a warrior/hero before you ever show her as a superhero. Have her fight Ares or some other evil Greek God, and then bring in a supervillain for a sequel. Just like Batman was fighting the mafia before he fought supervillains.

I think they are jumping the shark too early. They may try to use Batman movie series as a jumping point but those movies were in their own separete world. I can't see the Dark Knight trilogy being the starting point for a Justice League movie. This means you have to work twice as hard to find a new Batman....and develope him....which you can't do it soon since the Dark Knight movies just came out and you cannot disrespect them if you have any shred of intellegence in your mind.

So you can create Wonder Woman and Superman movies BUT ( a big BUT ) these 2 characters are really hard to write with as compelling stories ( Especially Superman, just look at the last movie ) . They need someone who knows what he is doing and won't drop down to another shallow '' Kryptoniteeeeeee'' session...

If DC wants to go for a Justice League movie...they better start with a GOOD Superman movie...because if you can pull it off, the others will be much more easier.

Nervous. WW could have some truly epic stories. There really isn't a female superhero that lends herself to the big screen like her. That said, taking the writers from Green Lantern would be a horrible mistake. Just horrible.

I don't understand why a lot of people think that dc is just jumping on the bandwagon, wonder wan is long way overdue...if they don't act now when? Marvel creating ms marvel...if that movie go on first before ww , then DC will be screwed as everyone thinks that they just second to marvel, which I'm starting to think that dc is not much of a leader but rather as a follower when it comes to movies.
