In my opinion it depends on who is drawing her. My view is that she would have like Jessica Beil type body. To me thats muscular. Female body builders are freaks I dont think they mean female body builders. Lynda Carter looked good but to me honestly, to be perfect, she needed a bit more muscles for Wonder Woman. Thats my opinion not fact.

However if they do get a lynda carter type fine by me.... just interpreting what the casting call is looking for.

@WDW: If I were on this show I'd try and get Linda to play Diana's mother...that'd be a nice nod imo

casting calls for lambda beauty actress, no need for body bulding but WW does have muscles amazon training and keeping Lynda carter's shape is not really possible (even amazons from themyscira are to be the souls of lost women in a body which is in theyr most perfect shapes, sorry it's hard english isn't my mother language) the first ww show was vintage so it's ok, and now we want WW to looks like all the TV heroines we've.  I don't expect a fabulous show but please don't put a brainlessbodysmilingallthetime ''actress'' .

Bones main actress Emily Deschanel would have been good but she's already a show ''mascott''.

Someone suggested Gina Carano which would be ok I guess but Idk if she can act...

I don't think there is any way Gina could pull off having a charismatic Rock star presence, superhero CEO who  is accessible and appealing to all people, men and women alike... Need a pretty decent actor for that

since when is Wonder Woman been rock star type, she's supposed to be a proud warrior who doesn't take shit from anyone

"The charismatic stage presence of a rock star" when she is Diana. When she is Wonder Woman she can be "proud warrior who doesn't take shit from anyone"

@WDW: I'm just gonna remain skeptical about it till the show proves me wrong

Skeptical about what? The show? Based on what I have read I think this will be a great show for the general public. Especially 18-29 year old females like me :P However it will not be for most comic book fans I am sorry to say. Comicbook fans will need a movie franchise not a TV show.
#20 Posted by Primmaster64 (21138 posts) - - Show Bio

hmmm

#21 Posted by WDW (1514 posts) - - Show Bio

She only has 2 identities Diana Prince (SECRET) and Wonder Woman/Diana Themyiscara (REAL IDENTITY) since everyone knows Diana Themysciara and Wonder Woman are the same person it not a seperate identity

@WDW: I just don't know if the David E. Kelly style will do justice to the character

No he will not do the comic version of Wonder Woman justice in any meaning full way. However, I think he has a very good chance to make the show a TV success. From what I hear I am going to like it but I also know his Wonder Woman will be different to what the comics show and I accept it for what it is.

I mean at least we do get a Wonder Woman show..... Maybe if it works DC and Warner bros will work on an another animated movie or even TV series and then finally a movie.

The way the media is reporting the script is sounds silly.... I mean she is not going to have 3 boyfriends with 3 identities

There isn't a woman on Earth worth of playing Diana.I would rather a Wonder Woman series be animated.

For me that's all the more reason to do live action she it to high up on a pedestal now. Personally I would like to see this more realistic yet fantastic version of Wonder Woman

Or maybe do live action movie with a CGI Wonder Woman lol

@Unbreakable Bracelets: i don't know much about that actress it's just that her face fits well, and no beyonce can't be the incarnation of WW that would be the greatest joke i ever see..

I agree with Un' there's no one to .And she's on a pedestal cause she deserves it..bat and sup are on too why don't we make them quit too?...She doesn't need a live action freak show, she already got one, vintage like i said before but it was good. I hate when they took heroes to become commercial shitty product for mass. First if they quit messing with the artists drawing her comics since the 600 issue things would have been easier. Before it was superb...but that's another topic and depends on personnal point of view.

@Evpraksiya:  I own the Lynda Carter DVDs and watch them a lot I enjoy them however at its CORE the show is VERY DUMB it was really not a good show at .... the stories were terrible.... 3 season had Wonder Woman turning into a super skateboarder in one episode where she had a Wonder Woman skateboard helmet and knee pads....Another episode had her turn into a Wonder Motorcyclist..... and every other episode she was knocked out by some sort of GAS. The script for the New TV show sounds MUCH better that the old show.

Having a live action show will in no way ruin Wonder Woman... even if it sucks..... George Clooney as Batman did not ruin Batman and Halle Berry as cat woman did not ruin cat woman.

Wonder Woman is not a fragile franchise and I for one want to see a live action show.   If it stinks then people will forget it quickly. Just like the Supergirl movie which also sucked.

@WDW: There's no way a show will crash WW even if it sucks for good...and you've good point about the earlier show but it's from long long ago so people doesn't care but a new born show if he sucks can bring bad things to WW image. And hale berry as catwoman L O L yes it ruins her in a way cause after that there was so many jokes and things i've heard about catwoman which make her image suffer Michelle Pfeiffer was great as catwoman..
I don't care about the future show i just don't want a b*tch to represent my chilhood heroine.

Well I guess we will see.... but I for one want to see the new show..... and Catwoman is back in the New Batman movie so Halle Berry did not hurt her rep.... Wonder Woman has been parodied so many times and they even have Wonder Woman porn movies LOL.... she has lasted 70 years. A simple TV show will not ruin her at all It may even help her.

Anyway just watch the pilot when it comes out. If you hate it.... Watch this video below  many times!

I was looking and does anyone know what the hell Themyscira Industries is. I really don't like the idea of her having a buisness for the amazons....
