Here's hoping Orion's costume and harness improve

I like this. It's the perfect gateway from the mythic imagery-heavy first arc to the larger DC universe. After dealing with the New Gods, WW will be better situated for mixing in with characters like Dr. Psycho and the like. (Not that she's not already doing that in the pages of JL, what with the pending Cheetah appearance, but I'm talking here about her solo title.)

Even if Orion beats WW, I'm sure her boyfriend will kick his a$$.

i think orion should be as strong as apollo was in WW #11..since he is a god...

I wouldn't mind if they make Orion as strong, or even stronger, as she is. But I would like to see her take him down because of how she applies her strength. Really emphasize that her training as a warrior gives her the upper hand against people who are super powerful, and that she's even more intimidating because along with being strong she can apply it in ways her foes don't expect.

...Plus there's that whole removing the bracers thing when she kicked Artemis' a$$

@divingfalcon713: she shouldn't be able to defeat orion just because of her training if she is significantly weaker... because orion is a warrior and a war god himself.. well at least he was pre flashpoint.

@cloudzackvincent: But we don't know how much weaker (if she even is) she'll be. If he's on Apollo level then I still think she could take him, hence the removing bracers comment. Plus, IMO, Orion was always a brawler. He never seemed to think about what he was doing, as long as he got to hit something. Diana's got more finesse.

Orion is skilled fighter to. I can prove this to you.

@warlord1234: I'll gladly take your word for it, I haven't read much with Orion. But I always thought his rage was what propelled him to be such a powerful combatant, whereas with wonder woman it seemed her vast combat knowledge and skill (coupled with her strength) were what made her formidable.

I made i case how skilled Orion is a year ago on orion vs captain atom page 3 (http://www.comicvine.com/forums/battles/7/orion-vs-captain-atom/576463/?page=3) . I would not say that he is way skilled then Wonder Woman but when he went undercover pretending to be Darkseid new recruit the recruiters recommended that he be promted to full status and that Darkseid should take special note of him, the last time darkseid took special note of a warrior that will serve him well was Big Barda whose fighting skills are sufficient to fight Wonder Woman one on one in hand to hand combat. Remember that Wonder Woman is stronger then Big Barda the only reason Barda is able to fight her is because she is just has skilled has Wonder Woman and more ruthless in battle.

It was skill and Darkseid did not take notice of this. It was the recruiters that did.

@warlord1234: Ok, like I said, I believe you when you say he's a skilled fighter. Unfortunately, neither of them have New52 feats to sway a hypothetical battle. If this were preboot I still think Wonder Woman would be able to win against him.
