    Wonder Woman

Character » Wonder Woman appears in 8717 issues.

The Amazon princess, blessed with god-like super abilities, Wonder Woman is one of Earth's most powerful defenders of peace, justice, and equality and a member of the Justice League. She is considered an archetype for many heroines outside of comic book. Her initial origin depicted her as a clay baby brought to life by patron goddess Aphrodite, but in recent years she has been depicted as the daughter of Zeus and Amazon queen Hippolyta.

Ridiculous. That qualifies as fat to you? You're probably not a fan of classic pinups then, and that's the style.

I like Adam Hughes and Cliff Chiang so far the best. Hughes gave her the beauty and Chiang made her look more Greek.

No one even mentioned my favorite - Ben Caldwell. I know he only did the Wednesday Comics GN, but I loved his interpretation of the characters. I really wanted to see more from him.

Phil Jimenez is a close second. His characters always feel real to me.

Got to disagree with the Jim Lee. I think Mr. Lee is an absolutely amazing artist and his sheer accuracy with pencil work is unparalleled, but when it comes to female characters he only has two archetypal "looks", the "Psylocke" and the "Rogue". Wonder Woman is neither of these, and comes off looking too generic when he draws her. Same for Harley and a few other females that have very distinctive looks when drawn correctly. Just look at the title image for this WW section and the new ArtFX statue to see what I mean by "generic".

I have to go with Adam Hughes.

I think the comics and video games should model Wonder Woman on Gina Carano:

Agree, but, I like Terry Dodson, also, as well as Gail Simone's artist. Although Deodato is at the top, Benes, number 2, where Wonder Woman artistry has since devolved from there, as that should have been the direction, I think Dodson draws how I'd envision Wonder Woman looking. Oh, and the artist from Rucka 1.0 as well because of his preference choices for angles (e.g. feet).
