@Billy Batson: His Diana looks pretty good.

Definitely Cliff Chang. He makes her strong and powerful without sexualising her.

I guess now that I think of it, I don't really have a firm grasp of who the artists are when I read a comic

Ed Benes does Wonder Woman best.

#28 Posted by jrock85 (2874 posts) - - Show Bio

@PowerHerc: How could I forget to give Benes an honorable mention?

Benes is awesome.

#32 Posted by PowerHerc (85105 posts) - - Show Bio

@jrock85: Yes he is.

He's one of the top 5 artists when it comes to drawing women, imo.

hardly. More like healthy and actually able to swing a sword around. The only place he really drew her older was in Kingdom Come, and that's because all the heroes were aged.

Wow. I choose Alex Ross for so beautifully rendering Lynda Carter

#36 Posted by RedheadedAtrocitus (6885 posts) - - Show Bio

AH! and Ed Benes.

#37 Posted by SCORPIO_CASSADINE (759 posts) - - Show Bio

Drew Johnson because he had a great style, fashion sense and I really enjoyed his character designs. I liked Yanick Paquette a lot too, he gave us the floating lasso and to me it was akin to the first time Todd McFarlane changed the depiction of Spiderman's webs.

#38 Posted by SCORPIO_CASSADINE (759 posts) - - Show Bio

I picked those two because they're unsung and never mentioned. I also liked Benes, AH!, Perez, Nicola Scott, Don Kramer, Phil Jimenez and Rags Morales. I effing HATE Cliff Chiang, his style is lazy, sketchy and underdeveloped and when he does do details they're ugly like those pointy ass witch boots he draws.

Nicola Scott. Hands down. Alex Ross would be 2nd for me. Cliff Chiang is nowhere near those two.

#40 Posted by Ludo (57 posts) - - Show Bio

Ed Benes, Alex Ross, Deodato jr., Terry Dodson, George Perez.

Don't make choose.

#41 Posted by Ludo (57 posts) - - Show Bio

Don't make ME choose. Sorry.

#42 Posted by Manwhohaseverything (1983 posts) - - Show Bio

Mike Deodato Jr, and George Perez. I think Chiang's art works with Azzarello's style of writing (dark, grim, etc..) but don't think he draws technically as well as others mentioned in this thread. I actually googled this to see if "it's been done before" so i didn't start a new thread. My first bumping of an older thread. :)

#43 Posted by LexLuthor (101 posts) - - Show Bio

Adam Hughes of course.

#44 Posted by Vance Astro (91289 posts) - - Show Bio

Hard to choose. Ed Benes,Adam Hughes,Terry Dodson,Jim Lee,John Byrne,Alex Garner,Stanley Lau all do a good Wonder Woman. If I HAD TO choose, I'd probably say Hughes.

I really like Cliff Chaing. There are some really goods ones like Nicola Scott, the Dodson's, and George Perez but Chaing is better to me.
