    Wonder Woman

Character » Wonder Woman appears in 8805 issues.

The Amazon princess, blessed with god-like super abilities, Wonder Woman is one of Earth's most powerful defenders of peace, justice, and equality and a member of the Justice League. She is considered an archetype for many heroines outside of comic book. Her initial origin depicted her as a clay baby brought to life by patron goddess Aphrodite, but in recent years she has been depicted as the daughter of Zeus and Amazon queen Hippolyta.

What Would Greg Rucka's WW: Earth One Have Been Like?

I'm aware of the circumstances that resulted in Rucka losing the Wonder Woman: Earth One project to grant Morrison. I've accepted that and Morrison is just as good a writer as Rucka, but sometimes I do wonder what it would have been like and how much of an impact it would have had on Diana. Basically this thread is for people to discuss what his project could have been like. Would it have been as good as Morrison's? Better? Worse? Please share your thoughts.

@agent41: No. I just wanted to discuss a possible Wonder Woman Earth One book by Rucka.

I haven't read Rucka's Wonder Woman, so I can't judge his Wonder Woman, but having Morrison write it, who hasn't written a Wonder Woman book before (right?) is a better plan for the Earth one books. At least that is what I think.

I'm not sure how Rucka's Earth One would turn out. I remember seeing images that were for his Earth One take, but I'm not sure if any plot-oriented stuff were released.

Based off the images and how Rucka writes/ views her, I honestly don't think we needed it nor would it have much of an impact. He would focused more on the warrior aspect and the mythology aspect, which is has already been prevalent for couple years/decades now and would have been retreading the same ground. Morrison on the other is choosing to go a different route (Marston). A route that hasn't been fully embraced by a lot of WW writers, so his has more of chance at being groundbreaking.

Honestly I wish they had given Earth One to Azzarallo, and had let someone else launch her New 52 book. I have a lot of issues with Azz's run, but if it was an out of continuity graphic novel I think it could have been pretty good.

Is Earth One:Wonder Woman going to still happen? Has there been any news lately?

I want Judd Winnick to write it for some reason.
