Me and a friend were arguing on why wonder woman is bad@$$ and deliverers a show or movie. He argue and ask "whats so special about her? What does she bring that makes her unique? She nothing but a female superman and she doesn't bring anything unique to the JLA. Flash offers speed which isn't really that useful, Martian Manhunter offers shape shifting, telepathy, and phase shifting, Green Lantern has his ring, Cyborg has tech , Batman offers detective skills, and superman bring power. What can she had that superman doesn't already bring? Her lasso and that's it, but its not always use and when she does participate its for something that the others could have done or was not necessary." Needless to say I could not think of one thing that make her unquestionably relevant or useful, so I told him I will find out and come back to it. So what make her stand out and relevant?

She has Magical gear, knowledge of magic and good connection with the Greek Gods to name the obvious few.

now,she is relevant because she has protection against magic,which makes her a key memmber when they face magic beings that can put superman down,she has magic weapons that can be more effective than GL's ring against certain opponents,she has the fighting skills,the best skills after batman,she has the amazons that can help against armies like when darksied try to conquer earth,she has connection with the gods,that's another helpful hand that she brings to the table,her laso has been able to stop beings that not even superman can beat,there you have another point for her,she has telepathy resistance.

If your friend thinks she doesn't bring anything unique to the team because she's just "a female superman", then surely Superman doesn't bring anything unique either because he's just "a male Wonder Woman".

I was going to write out this big elaborate speech about how she is unique but decided against it. If your friend thinks she is "just a female Superman" and because she isn't unique the league doesn't need her than he's retarded.

• Martian Manhunter is as smart or smarter than Batman so why is Batman there?

Not so much in the New 52 Justice League, but in the past she's also brought diplomacy to the group, which is important both within and without the League itself.

I dunno, maybe she's there so the misfit variety pack of sole survivor aliens, superpowered showboaters and borderline insane vigilantes are provided some degree of validation by the presence of a fully qualified ambassador, war general and demi-Goddess who is actually performing a real job by being on the team?

Not to mention that every gang of lost boys needs a Wendy to keep them honest, and you can't have Supes or Bats beating Giganta senseless without someone raising an eyebrow, no matter how evil the female antagonist is behaving.

So with all this being said minus the sex appeal comments. Whats stopping her from getting a movie or show? Hell if catwoman can get one than why not her, even if catwoman was terrible its the fact she still got one first.

because female heros movies have a bad trackrecord,so they have to work 3 times harder with wonder womam because she is no ordinary female,she is THE FEMALE HERO,so there is much more expection for a movie about her.
