    Wonder Woman

Character » Wonder Woman appears in 8805 issues.

The Amazon princess, blessed with god-like super abilities, Wonder Woman is one of Earth's most powerful defenders of peace, justice, and equality and a member of the Justice League. She is considered an archetype for many heroines outside of comic book. Her initial origin depicted her as a clay baby brought to life by patron goddess Aphrodite, but in recent years she has been depicted as the daughter of Zeus and Amazon queen Hippolyta.

What if Superman and Wonder Woman had a normal child?

How would that effect the hero world?

I also think they should have twins. One boy and one girl!

It would affect the hero world because they would have the responsibility of sharing this important responsibility. They may not be as available to address certain threats, and you know how the world is constantly hanging in the Balance.

    You mean without powers?

I'm not sure how that would effect the hero world if Supes and Wondy can keep a secret identity. The child would grow up nicely if he is not consume by rage like Joel Kent.

If they had a normal kid I'd want Batman to take a Dna test.

Someone without power tapped Di would be the general reaction.

Honestly that'd be the only explanation. They both have and Diana's a god, human blood would be the only way that happens.

@franchise1590: It could be explained by some sort of cosmic limit on power. Like the Presence decreed that all if non-cosmic beings on Superman's and Wonder Woman's level have children they would be powerless.

Also if Diana and Bruce did have a kid it wouldn't be powerless, just weaker than Diana.

I was wondering "how normal" 100% normal.

Maybe just a "little bit" of super powers a bit of that God stuff.

In the late 20th Century, Hippolyta was instructed to mold some clay from the shores of Paradise Island into the form of a baby girl. Six members of the Greek Pantheon then bonded the soul to the clay, giving it life. Each of the six also granted Diana a gift: Demeter, great strength; Athena, wisdom and courage; Artemis, a hunter's heart and a communion with animals; Aphrodite, beauty and a loving heart; Hestia, sisterhood with fire; Hermes, speed and the power of flight.

A little bit of super strength and super speed and maybe REALLY good eyesight and reflexes.

A bit above peak human. But not enough to hold up with the big boys. Just enough to keep the bad guys from coming after him and just enough to make not want to be a superhero or be able to make it as a superhero. But since he honest he does not use it to win football games, or gold medals in the Olympics or stuff like that. (but he does use it to hustle poor and win arm wrestling contest, and stuff like that and but bullies in there place) good stuff like that!

@gwhh: I don't think Superman and WW could conceivably create such weak offspring.

I mean, where is the weakness coming from?

I guess it's a little less clear in the New 52, but in the other versions of Wonder Woman her powers were gifts from the gods, so it's entirely possible that the gods could refuse to give those powers to her children. Superman's power, of course, comes from the sun, but it isn't clear that that benefit is genetic. Would his child, who has never been exposed to the sun of Krypton, still gain powers from our sun? I'm not completely sure on how all of that works.

An unpowered child would be a huge liability it seems to me. After all, one of the points of a secret identity is to protect loved ones who could become targets. A child would be the ultimate target and the ultimate distraction for Clark and Diana. Catwoman briefly had a child in Vol. 3 of her series and it was a huge problem for her - so much so that she gave the baby away. Catwoman isn't nearly as high-profile and doesn't have as many powerful being gunning for her as Superman and Wonder Woman do.
